York IE Adds OpenView Veteran Tom Holahan as General Partner for New Early Growth Fund

Manchester, NH — February 12, 2026 — York IE, an investment and operating firm, today announced that Tom Holahan will join the firm as a General Partner in connection with the launch of its new Early Growth Fund. Tom’s addition reflects York IE’s continued commitment to backing durable, growth-stage software companies with both institutional-grade capital and hands-on operational support.

Prior to York, Tom spent several years as a Partner at OpenView, a leading ~$2.4B early stage growth investment firm where he was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Management Committee. At OpenView, Tom helped lead investments in companies such as Axonius, Rewst, Chargeflow, Intezer, Buildkite, Kolide (1Password), Toucan (Babbel).

“Tom has spent years working alongside some of the best growth-stage founders in the industry at one of the trailblazing firms of the past 20 years in our space,” said Kyle York, CEO and Co-founder of York IE. “His time at OpenView shaped a disciplined, data-driven investing approach that pairs extremely well with York IE’s operator mindset. He understands what durable growth really looks like and how to support founders through it.”

“Tom was the top deal partner and investor at OpenView and has the most long-term potential of any investor I’ve worked with over my 25 year career as a VC,” said Scott Maxwell, Founder and Managing Partner of OpenView.

Prior to joining OpenView, Tom was an investor at General Catalyst, where he worked with companies such as SignalFx (Splunk), Contentful, Teamworks, Aura, Allego, Logz.io and The Predictive Index. Earlier in his career, he had a stint at Datadog, giving him firsthand experience inside a high-growth, product-led software company. That operating background continues to inform his perspective as an investor and partner to founders. Tom got his start at Symmetric Capital out of Amherst College, where he was a four-year varsity football player student-athlete, an experience much appreciated at York IE and across the startup landscape.

“When I met Tom, I wasn’t interested in raising capital, but he immediately impressed me with his persistence and knowledge of Rewst and the MSP market,” said Aharon Chernin, Founder & CEO of Rewst. “He did exactly what he told me he would do, which built a lot of trust, and he’s been an invaluable board member since leading our Series A.”

York IE’s Early Growth Fund is purpose-built to support early growth-stage software companies that sit between Silicon Valley venture capital and traditional growth equity. The firm combines flexible capital with a deep operating platform spanning product, go-to-market, finance, and operations, driven by 250+ global employees and a robust partner ecosystem of hundreds of other complementary firms. This end-to-end platform drives incredible deal flow, deep operational insights, proven ROI driven value-add and a high upside yet derisked partner for limited partners (LP) looking to deploy capital in the sector.

In his role as General Partner, Tom will work closely with Kyle York, co-founder Joe Raczka, who leads investments, General Partner Marshall Everson and the rest of York IE’s investment team to help identify high-quality early growth opportunities and support founders as they scale.

“I’m incredibly excited to join the team at York IE and to continue to support great early stage technology founders,” Tom said.

With Tom’s addition, York IE continues to strengthen its growth investing capabilities, blending institutional investing discipline with hands-on, operator-led support to help software companies build durable, category-defining businesses.

This approach is reinforced by York IE’s family of funds, spanning its pre-York IE pilot vehicles, Labs program, Seed Fund, and planned Early Growth Fund, allowing the firm to support founders across multiple stages of their journey with long-term alignment.
