The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 9/13/25 featuring funding details forAven, Apex, and thirteen other deals representing $3.3B in new funding that you need to know about.

Goodpath – $18.0M

Cambridge-based Goodpath is a health and wellness marketplace that specializes in virtual whole-person care for chronic conditions. Founded by Akl Fahed, Bill Gianoukos, and Carl Nehme in 2019, Goodpath has now raised a total of $30.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Healthy Ventures and MassMutual Ventures.

Databricks – $1.0B

San Francisco-based Databricks is a data and AI platform that unifies data engineering, analytics, and machine learning on a lakehouse architecture. Founded by Ali Ghodsi, Andy Konwinski, Arsalan Tavakoli-Shiraji, Ion Stoica, Matei Zaharia, Patrick Wendell, and Reynold Xin in 2013, Databricks has now raised a total of $16.6B in total equity funding and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Insight Partners, MGX, Thrive Capital, and WCM Investment Management.

Aven – $110.0M

San Francisco-based Aven’s mission is to provide the lowest cost, most convenient, and most transparent access to capital. Founded by Almaz Nanjappa, Jeremy Solomon, Murtada Shah, and Sadi Khan in 2019, Aven has now raised a total of $252.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Caffeinated Capital, Electric Capital, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, GIC, and Khosla Ventures.

CuspAI – $100.0M

Cambridge-based CuspAI is an AI company that discovers new materials to solve problems and enable human progress. Founded by Alyn Chad Edwards, Chad Edwards, and Max Welling in 2024, CuspAI has now raised a total of $130.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Arash Ferdowsi, Basis Set Ventures, Durk Kingma, FJ Labs, Giant Ventures, Hyundai Motor Company, Joel Hellermark, John Browne, LocalGlobe, Mandeep Singh, NEA, Northzone, NVentures, Prosus Ventures, Samsung Electronics, Temasek Holdings, Thomas Wolf, Tiferes Ventures, Touring Capital, Victor Riparbelli, and Zoubin Gharamani.

Nuclearn – $10.5M

Phoenix-based Nuclearn is a software company delivering AI solutions for automating Nuclear Industry tasks. Founded by Bradley Fox and Jerrold Vincent in 2021, Nuclearn has now raised a total of $13.0M in total equity funding and is backed by AZ-VC, Blue Bear Capital, Nucleation Capital, and SJF Ventures.

Austin-based Harbor Health is a multi-specialty clinic group that provides smarter health care using technology. Founded by Eric Scott in 2022, Harbor Health has now raised a total of $255.5M in total equity funding and is backed by 8VC, Alta Partners, Breyer Capital, DFO Management, General Catalyst, Health2047 Capital Partners, Lemhi Ventures, and Martin Ventures.

Apex – $200.0M

Los Angeles-based Apex designs and manufactures satellite buses tailored for various space missions. Founded by Ian Cinnamon and Maximilian Benassi in 2022, Apex has now raised a total of $522.0M in total equity funding and is backed by 8VC, Andreessen Horowitz, Interlagos Capital, and Point72 Ventures.

Cassidy – $10.0M

New York-based Cassidy provides a context-powered AI automation platform for non-technical teams to control building AI workflows. Founded by Ian Woodfill and Justin Fineberg in 2023, Cassidy has now raised a total of $13.7M in total equity funding and is backed by Alumni Ventures, HOF Capital, Neo, Quest Venture Partners, and The General Partnership. Optain – $26.0M

New York-based Optain’s non-invasive clinical support tools harness the power of AI-enabled algorithms to analyse retinal images to screen for disease. Founded by Jeff Dunkel and John Beadle in 2023, Optain has now raised a total of $38.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Informed Ventures, Insight Partners, Lumio Capital, Memorial Hermann Health System, Meridian Ventures, Northwell Health, Novant Health, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, UniQuest Extension Fund, and UPMC.

PsiQuantum – $1.0B

Palo Alto-based PsiQuantum focuses on developing a scalable quantum computer using photonic qubits. Founded by Jeremy O’Brien, Mark Thompson, Peter Shadbolt, and Terry Rudolph in 2016, PsiQuantum has now raised a total of $2.3B in total equity funding and is backed by 1789 Capital, Adage Capital Management, Baillie Gifford, Blackbird Ventures, BlackRock, Counterpoint Global, Macquarie Capital, NVentures, Qatar Investment Authority, Ribbit Capital, S Ventures, T. Rowe Price, Temasek Holdings, Third Point Ventures, and Type One Ventures.

DroneDeploy – $15.0M

San Francisco-based DroneDeploy powers field teams with Robotics and AI Founded by Jono Millin, Michael Winn, and Nicholas Pilkington in 2013, DroneDeploy has now raised a total of $157.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Airtree Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Emergence Capital, Scale Venture Partners, and Uncork Capital.

Torus – $200.0M

Lehi-based Torus empowers individuals and communities to become their renewable energy providers. Founded by Nate Walkingshaw in 2021, Torus has now raised a total of $267.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Magnetar Capital.

Cognition – $400.0M

San Francisco-based Cognition is an applied artificial intelligence lab that focuses on reasoning and code. Founded by Scott Wu, Steven Hao, and Walden Yan in 2023, Cognition has now raised a total of $896.0M in total equity funding and is backed by 8VC, Bain Capital Ventures, Conviction, D1 Capital Partners, Definition, Elad Gil, Founders Fund, Hanabi Capital, Khosla Ventures, Lux Capital, Neo, Pear VC, and Swish Ventures.
