The Weekly Notable Startup Funding Report takes us on a trip across various ecosystems in the US, highlighting some of the notable funding activity in the various markets that we track. The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 8/2/25 featuring funding details for ESB, Observe, Salient, and twenty-nine other deals representing $10.5B in new funding that you need to know about.

Ambience Healthcare – $243.0M

San Francisco-based Ambience Healthcare develops an AI operating system used for documentation, coding, and clinical workflows in healthcare organizations. Founded by Michael Ng and Nikhil Buduma in 2020, Ambience Healthcare has now raised a total of $319.3M in total equity funding and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Circle Capital, Frist Cressey Ventures, Georgian, Kleiner Perkins, Oak HC/FT, OpenAI Startup Fund, Optum Ventures, Smash Capital, and Town Hall Ventures.

Anaconda – $150.0M

Austin-based Anaconda is an open-source distribution of the Python and R programming languages for data science that simplifies package management. Founded by Hugo Shi, Peter Wang, and Travis Oliphant in 2012, Anaconda has now raised a total of $233.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Insight Partners and Mubadala Capital.

Arbital Health – $31.0M

Santa Rosa-based Arbital Health provides neutral adjudication services for outcomes-based healthcare contracts. Founded by Brian M. Overstreet in 2023, Arbital Health has now raised a total of $41.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Healthy Ventures, Shaper Capital, Transformation Capital, and Valtruis.

Car IQ – $8.0M

San Francisco-based Car IQ Pay is the first payment platform to enable vehicles to initiate, validate and complete authorized transactions. Founded by Sterling Pratz in 2016, Car IQ has now raised a total of $45.8M in total equity funding and is backed by Bridgestone Corporation, Circle K Venture, Citibank, Financial Technology Partners, Royal Bank of Canada, State Farm Ventures, TELUS Global Ventures, and Visa.

Cline – $27.0M

San Francisco-based Cline is a developer of an open‚Äësource AI coding agent that automates software creation tasks within integrated development environments. Founded by Saoud Rizwan in 2024, Cline has now raised a total of $32.0M in total equity funding and is backed by 1984 Ventures, Addy Osmani, Charles Zedlewski, Cox Exponential, Emergence Capital, Eric Simons, Essence VC, Jared Friedman, Logan Kilpatrick, Pace Capital, and Theo Browne.

E2B – $21.0M

San Francisco-based E2B develops a cloud infrastructure tailored for AI agents and applications. Founded by Tomas Valenta and Vasek Mlejnsky in 2023, E2B has now raised a total of $35.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Decibel Partners, Insight Partners, KAYA, Scott Johnston, and Sunflower Capital.

Fal – $125.0M

San Francisco-based Fal is a generative media platform that helps developers create applications using AI models. Founded by Burkay Gur and Gorkem Yurtseven in 2021, Fal has now raised a total of $197.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, First Round Capital, Google AI Futures Fund, Kindred Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners, Notable Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Shopify Ventures, Unusual Ventures, and Village Global.

Farmers Business Network – $50.0M

San Carlos-based Farmers Business Network is a digital marketplace that helps farmers buy inputs, access financing, and join marketing programs. Founded by Amol Deshpande and Charles Baron in 2014, Farmers Business Network has now raised a total of $967.9M in total equity funding and is backed by Arteqin, Colle Capital Partners, GV, T. Rowe Price, and Temasek Holdings.

San Francisco-based Julius AI is an artificial intelligence platform that develops and analyzes data with computational AI. Founded by Rahul Sonwalkar in 2022, Julius AI has now raised a total of $10.5M in total equity funding and is backed by 8VC, AI Grant, Akshay Kothari, Amjad Masad, Arash Ferdowsi, Aravind Srinivas, Balaji Srinivasan, Bessemer Venture Partners, David Petersen, Eoghan McCabe, Gokul Rajaram, Guillermo Rauch, Horizon, Jeff Lawson, Luke Harries, Mike Knoop, Nat Friedman, Paul Klein IV, Shawn swyx W, and Y Combinator.

Keye – $5.0M

New York-based Keye is a proprietary AI system that accelerates and enhances due diligence for private market investors. Founded by Conor Brown, Lalit Lal, Paolo Fornasini, and Rohan Parikh in 2023, Keye has now raised a total of $5.3M in total equity funding and is backed by (ERA) Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, Clark Valberg, Dunamu, General Catalyst, Kaz Nejatian, Palm Drive Capital, Philip Rathle, Sorenson Capital, Tiferes Ventures, and Y Combinator.

Knit – $16.1M

Austin-based Knit is an end-to-end insights platform that combines the power of quantitative, video, and artificial intelligence. Founded by Aneesh Dhawan in 2015, Knit has now raised a total of $30.7M in total equity funding and is backed by David B. Kirk, GFT Ventures, Gokul Rajaram, Osage Venture Partners, Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, Silicon Road Ventures, and Sound Ventures.

lakeFS – $20.0M

Santa Monica-based LakeFS is a developer of a scalable data version control system. Founded by Einat Orr and Oz Katz in 2020, lakeFS has now raised a total of $43.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Dell Technologies Capital, Maor Investments, Norwest Venture Partners, and Zeev Ventures.

Lumana – $40.0M

Palo Alto-based Lumana is a AI-powered video surveillance and safety technology that provides unparalleled visibility in any area. Founded by Sagi Ben Moshe in 2021, Lumana has now raised a total of $64.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Norwest Venture Partners, S Capital, and Wing Venture Capital.

Motive – $150.0M

San Francisco-based Motive is a fleet management and driver safety platform that helps improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of fleet operations. Founded by Obaid Khan, Ryan Johns, and Shoaib Makani in 2013, Motive has now raised a total of $717.3M in total equity funding and is backed by AllianceBernstein and Kleiner Perkins.

NuCicer – $11.5M

Davis-based NuCicer offers high-protein chickpea ingredients with added value in the agri-food system. Founded by Brendan Riley, Douglas Cook, and Kathryn Cook in 2019, NuCicer has now raised a total of $32.3M in total equity funding and is backed by Better Ventures, Illumina Ventures, Leaps by Bayer, Rhapsody Venture Partners, and Stray Dog Capital.

Observe – $156.0M

San Mateo-based Observe offers an observability cloud solution to accelerate the transformation of troubleshooting applications and resolving incidents. Founded by Jacob Leverich, Jon Watte, Jonathan Trevor, Mike Speiser, and Philipp Unterbrunner in 2017, Observe has now raised a total of $463.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Alumni Ventures, Capital One Ventures, Madrona, Snowflake Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures.

OpenAI – $8.3B

San Francisco-based OpenAI creates artificial intelligence technologies to assist with tasks and provide support for human activities. Founded by Andrej Karpathy, Durk Kingma, Elon Musk, Greg Brockman, Ilya Sutskever, John Schulman, Pamela Vagata, Sam Altman, Trevor Blackwell, Vicki Cheung, and Wojciech Zaremba in 2015, OpenAI has now raised a total of $35.4B in total equity funding and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Blackstone Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, Dragoneer Investment Group, Fidelity, Founders Fund, Sequoia Capital, T. Prophet Security – $30.0M

Palo Alto-based Prophet Security delivers an AI-driven security operations center (SOC) platform that automates alert triage, investigation, and response. Founded by Kamal Shah and Vibhav Sreekanti in 2023, Prophet Security has now raised a total of $41.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Accel and Bain Capital Ventures.

Ramp – $500.0M

New York-based Ramp is a financial operations platform designed to save companies time and money. Founded by Eric Glyman, Gene Lee, and Karim Atiyeh in 2019, Ramp has now raised a total of $1.8B in total equity funding and is backed by 137 Ventures, 8VC, Altimeter Capital, Avenir, Citi, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, Definition, Emerson Collective, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, GIC, GV, ICONIQ Capital, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Lux Capital, Operator Collective, Pinegrove Capital Partners, Sands Capital Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Stripe, Sutter Hill Ventures, T. Reach Security – $10.0M

San Francisco-based Reach Security is the defensive posture management company helping organizations deliver. Founded by Colt Blackmore and Garrett Hamilton in 2021, Reach Security has now raised a total of $30.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Artisanal Ventures and M12 – Microsoft’s Venture Fund.

Founded by Rahul Tyagi, Saket Modi, and Vidit Baxi in 2012, Safe Security has now raised a total of $211.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Avataar Venture Partners, Eight Roads Ventures, John Chambers, NextEquity Partners, Prosperity7 Ventures, Sorenson Capital, and Susquehanna Venture Capital.

Salient – $60.0M

Cambridge-based Salient combines novel ocean and land-surface data with AI and climate expertise to deliver the world’s most accurate S2S weather forecasts. Seal Security – $13.0M

Wilmington-based Seal Security provides security operations. Founded by Alon Navon, Itamar Sher, and Lev Pachmanov in 2022, Seal Security has now raised a total of $20.4M in total equity funding and is backed by Crew Capital, Cyber Club London, More Investment House, SBI Group, and Vertex Ventures Israel.

SiMa.ai – $85.0M

San Jose-based SiMa.ai is a developer of machine learning technology to deliver a software-centric platform. Founded by Krishna Rangasayee and Steven J. Rosston in 2018, SiMa.ai has now raised a total of $355.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Maverick Capital and StepStone Group.

Small Door – $35.0M

New York-based Small Door is a membership-based veterinary service that offers surgery, wellness, and preventative care. Founded by Florent Peyre and Josh Guttman in 2018, Small Door has now raised a total of $98.5M in total equity funding and is backed by C&S Family Capital, Lerer Hippeau, Primary Venture Partners, Toba Capital, and Valspring Capital.
