The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 1/24/25 featuring funding details for Ivo, Bolna, ZBD, and twenty-three other deals representing $2.1B in new funding that you need to know about.

Richmond-based AnswersNow is an app that revolutionized autism support by utilizing the use of technology. Founded by Adam Dreyfus and Jeff Beck in 2016, AnswersNow has now raised a total of $52.4M in total equity funding and is backed by Blue Heron Capital, HealthQuest Capital, Left Lane Capital, and Owl Ventures.

Baseten – $300.0M

San Francisco-based Baseten is an AI infrastructure company that integrates machine learning into business operations, production, and processes. Founded by Amir Haghighat, Pankaj Gupta, Philip Howes, and Tuhin Srivastava in 2019, Baseten has now raised a total of $585.0M in total equity funding and is backed by CapitalG, IVP, and NVIDIA.

Claroty – $150.0M

New York-based Claroty is a cybersecurity company that protects XIoT and cyber-physical systems from cyber threats. Founded by Amir Zilberstein, Benny Porat, and Galina Antova in 2015, Claroty has now raised a total of $890.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Golub Growth.

ZBD – $40.0M

Hoboken-based ZBD focuses on providing secure infrastructure to power real economies in digital experiences and environments. Founded by Andre Neves, Christian Moss, and Simon Cowell in 2019, ZBD has now raised a total of $86.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Blockstream Capital Partners.

Neurophos – $110.0M

Austin-based Neurophos develops photonic AI processing technology that focuses on hardware solutions for accelerating artificial intelligence inference. Founded by Andrew Traverso, Patrick T. Bowen, and Tom Driscoll in 2020, Neurophos has now raised a total of $126.1M in total equity funding and is backed by Alumni Ventures, Aramco Ventures, Bosch Ventures, Carbon Direct Capital, DNX Ventures, Gaingels, Gates Frontier Fund, Geometry, M12 – Microsoft’s Venture Fund, Mana Ventures, MetaVC Partners, Morgan Creek Capital Management, Silicon Catalyst Ventures, Space Capital, Tectonic Ventures, Trajectory Ventures, and Wonderstone Ventures.

Noveon Magnetics – $215.0M

San Marcos-based Noveon Magnetics manufactures EcoFlux rare earth permanent magnets that support electrification and low-carbon technology applications. Founded by Catalina Oana Tudor and Scott Dunn in 2014, Noveon Magnetics has now raised a total of $315.0M in total equity funding and is backed by One Investment Management.

OpenEvidence – $250.0M

Cambridge-based OpenEvidence is a medical AI company that builds a search engine to support clinicians in making evidence-based decisions. Founded by Daniel Nadler and Zachary Ziegler in 2021, OpenEvidence has now raised a total of $767.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Alkeon Capital, Blackstone Group, Bond, Breyer Capital, Coatue, Conviction, Craft Ventures, DST Global, Goanna Capital, Google Ventures, Greycroft, Henry Kravis, ICONIQ Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Mayo Clinic, Meritech Capital Partners, NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, and Thrive Capital.

San Jose-based Ethernovia is a developer of an Ethernet system that provides the next evolution in vehicle communication. Founded by Darren Engelkemier, Hossein Sedarat, Ramin Shirani, and Roy Myers in 2018, Ethernovia has now raised a total of $154.0M in total equity funding and is backed by CDIB -TEN Capital, Conduit Capital Limited, Fall Line Capital, Maverick Silicon, Porsche Automobil Holding, Qualcomm Ventures, and Socratic Partners.

Reno-based Klir is the operating system for water. Founded by David Lynch and Elaine Kelly in 2018, Klir has now raised a total of $29.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Insight Partners.

LiveKit – $100.0M

San Jose-based LiveKit provides a cloud platform that enables developers to build, deploy, and manage real-time communication and AI-driven applications. Founded by David Zhao and Russell D’Sa in 2021, LiveKit has now raised a total of $181.3M in total equity funding and is backed by Altimeter Capital, Hanabi Capital, Index Ventures, Redpoint, and Salesforce Ventures.

Superstate – $82.5M

San Francisco-based Superstate develops blockchain-based investment products connecting traditional financial assets with crypto markets. Founded by Dean Swennumson, Jim Hiltner, Reid Cuming, and Robert Leshner in 2023, Superstate has now raised a total of $100.5M in total equity funding and is backed by 1kx, Bain Capital Crypto, BH Digital, Bullish, Distributed Global, Flowdesk, Galaxy Digital, Haun Ventures, Hypersphere Ventures, Intersection Growth Partners, ParaFi Capital, Road Capital, and Sentinel Global.

AheadComputing – $30.0M

Beaverton-based AheadComputing is a microarchitecture compute performance company that develops microprocessor core design and related technologies. Founded by Debbie Marr and Jonathan Pearce in 2024, AheadComputing has now raised a total of $83.1M in total equity funding and is backed by Cambium Capital Partners, Corner Ventures, Eclipse Ventures, EPIQ Capital Group, MESH, Stata Capital, Toyota Ventures, and Trousdale Ventures.

Datarails – $70.0M

New York-based Datarails is an FP&A platform that automates consolidation, reporting, planning, and forecasting while supporting existing Excel models. New York-based Cambio is an AI-native commercial real estate operations platform that transforms raw building data into actionable insights. Emergent – $70.0M

Pleasanton-based Emergent is an AI-powered software creation platform that enables users to build full-stack web and mobile applications. Houston-based Sage Geosystems develops geothermal and energy storage technologies that use subsurface heat and pressure to generate and store electricity. Founded by Cindy D. XBuild – $19.0M

San Francisco-based XBuild offers an AI-powered platform for construction tasks like estimation, supplementation, and instant financing. Zarminali Health – $110.0M
