London-based Unlock VC spotlights 18 women-led startups tackling AI, health, and more for Founders Connect Program.

Contentlockr

London-based unlock VC (previously WVC:E), a platform and community for women in VC globally, announced the list of 18 female-founded startups to watch.

The announcement was made at an event in STATION F, the business incubator campus for startups in Paris.

Founders Connect initiative

unlock VC has chosen 18 startups from over 300 applications for the Founders Connect program, which helps founders connect with investors and secure funding.

With female founders securing just 2 per cent of VC funding in Europe, unlock VC’s Founders Connect initiative addressed this gap head-on.

Participants will get direct access to decision-makers from leading funds and receive mentorship from experienced female founders.

They will also join a community of women in venture capital for ongoing support.

The selection committee featured venture capitalists from firms like Northzone, Impact Shakers, Alven, and Calm/Storm.

During the unlock VC Summit, founders had the chance to pitch their ideas to more than 350 investors.

Sophie Winwood, co-founder and CEO at unlock VC, says, “We’ve seen firsthand how women-led teams approach problems differently and create solutions that tap into overlooked markets worth billions. The goal of Founders Connect is to create meaningful connections and funding opportunities for female founders that prioritise quality interactions over rushed pitches.”
