Milan-based CommerceClarity has raised €2.7M to grow its AI-driven e-commerce platform and extend its operations internationally.

Milan-based CommerceClarity, a composable AI operating system for e-commerce, has secured €2.7M in a pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by IFF (Koinos Capital) and Entourage, with participation from Redstone, Euregio+ (Alpine VC), Vento, Ithaca Investment, and Vesper Holding.

Irene Mingozzi, Partner at IFF, mentions, “CommerceClarity has the potential to redefine how digital commerce operates globally. It’s building the infrastructure for the agentic future commerce where the next generation of winners will be those bold enough to adopt technology at this level.”

Pieterjan Bouten, Partner at Entourage, adds, “Agentic systems are transforming e-commerce operations. CommerceClarity is one of the first companies to truly operationalise this shift, bringing measurable efficiency and visibility to online retailers.”

The funding will be used to advance CommerceClarity’s platform and support expansion into new markets. The company now operates offices in Milan, Rome, and London.

Building the infrastructure for agentic commerce

Founded in 2024 by Federico Sargenti, Daniele Vella, Michele Sampieri and Alessandro Angelini, CommerceClarity develops an AI operating system for e-commerce.

The system automates catalogue data ingestion, enrichment and validation. It converts unstructured product information into structured, AI-readable content for use across markets and channels. The system operates through a network of AI agents that automate catalogue operations for e-commerce teams.

The company was created to address the challenge of managing product assortments as retail operations scale. Many e-commerce teams still use spreadsheets, copy-paste workflows and fragmented IT systems. According to McKinsey, up to $5T in global retail sales could be mediated by AI agents by 2030, a change that will increase demand for automated catalogue workflows.

Federico Sargenti, co-founder and co-CEO, says, “CommerceClarity was born to fix a broken process that the founding team experienced first-hand as e-commerce operators. As the complexity of product data keeps growing and AI agents begin influencing what people buy, e-commerce needs intelligent infrastructure to remain visible, discoverable, and competitive.”

CommerceClarity reports client deployment with more than 40 retailers and brands, including Nestlé Purina, Arcaplanet, Cisalfa, 1000Farmacie and Caddy’s. Its technology helps clients cut operational costs by up to 90 per cent, increase traffic and sales by up to 30 per cent, and reduce time-to-market from weeks to hours.

Currently, CommerceClarity operates offices in Milan, Rome and London and continues work on platform development and market expansion.
