Company Overview

Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality home furnishings. The company operates a network of 86 company- and licensee-owned stores alongside a significant traditional wholesale business.

Key Financial Figures

For the first quarter ended February 28, 2026, consolidated revenues were $80.3 million, marking a 2.2% decrease from the prior year quarter. The company reported diluted earnings per share of $0.13.

Additional Financial Insights

Operating income was $1.2 million, representing 1.4% of sales. Retail and warehouse operations were negatively impacted by a weak residential housing market and severe January weather. Conversely, the company’s omni-channel model showed strength, as e-commerce sales increased by 28% during the quarter.
