Our enemy, the Fed, has a money printer. We have courageous donors.

Ludwig von Mises was a staunch opponent of central banks and monetary manipulation. The Mises Institute is proud to keep Mises’s ideas alive—teaching students, training the next generation of Austrian scholars, and publishing books and articles about the dangers of the state’s monopoly over money. Some DC organizations with ten times our budget pretend to be anti-Fed but then invite Fed officials to their fancy cocktail parties. You’ll never see us cozy up to the ruling class like that.

The Mises Institute is unique. We oppose all efforts to compromise with the Fed. We don’t want to reform the Fed. We want to abolish it.

That’s why the work of the Mises Institute is so important. The Fed needs to be exposed for what it is: an anticivilization bureaucracy of technocrats who siphon wealth away from ordinary people and to themselves and the state.

Please consider donating today. Every donor will receive a printed version of our newest book, Hayek for the 21st Century. Anyone who donates $100 or more this weekend will also receive three important booklets by Murray Rothbard: Nations by Consent, Ten Great Economic Myths, and Taking Back Our Money.

As Mises himself put it in Bureaucracy, “Inflation and credit expansion, the preferred methods of present day government openhandedness, do not add anything to the amount of resources available. They make some people more prosperous, but only to the extent that they make others poorer.”

Our mission is to show how central bank inflation creates business cycles, steals wealth from ordinary people, and feeds the leviathan state.

We don’t have a money printer, but we do have courageous donors like you, who will stand with us against inflationism and for sound money. We rely entirely on passionate people like you, who want sound money and sustainable economic growth. Will you donate and help make our Fall Campaign a success?

Join us or renew your membership today! Any amount is appreciated and will help continue the mission. Every donor will receive a printed version of the Mises Institute’s newest publication, Hayek for the 21st Century. Those who donate $100 or more over the weekend will also receive a Murray Rothbard booklet bundle containing Nations by Consent, Ten Great Economic Myths, and Taking Back Our Money.
