The Weekly Notable Startup Funding Report takes us on a trip across various ecosystems in the US, highlighting some of the notable funding activity in the various markets that we track. The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 7/12/25 featuring funding details for Varda, Sundial AirMDR, and twenty other deals representing $1B in new funding that you need to know about.

Moment – $36.0M

New York-based Moment is a fixed-income operating system that automates trading and portfolio management workflows for fixed-income teams. Founded by Ammer Soliman, Dean Hathout, and Dylan Parker in 2022, Moment has now raised a total of $56.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Contrary, Index Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Neo, and Venrock.

LangChain – $100.0M

San Francisco-based LangChain builds infrastructure and tools to help developers and enterprises create applications powered by large language models. Founded by Ankush Gola and Harrison Chase in 2022, LangChain has now raised a total of $135.0M in total equity funding and is backed by IVP.

AirMDR – $10.5M

Menlo Park-based AirMDR uses an AI-powered virtual security analyst for investigating threats, triaging incidents, and executing responses. Founded by Anthony Morris and Kumar Saurabh in 2023, AirMDR has now raised a total of $15.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Foundation Capital, Race Capital, and Storm Ventures.

Boston Metal – $51.0M

Woburn-based Boston Metal is a metals production company that develops an electric-powered tech to decarbonize steelmaking and metal production. Founded by Antoine Allanore, Donald Sadoway, and Jim Yurko in 2012, Boston Metal has now raised a total of $352.0M in total equity funding and is backed by BHP Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Piva Capital, and SiteGround.

ServiceUp – $55.0M

Los Gatos-based ServiceUp is a vehicle repair management platform that streamlines the repair process for fleets and insurance carriers. Founded by Brett Carlson, Brett Dashe, Jaclyn Imani, and Javier Muniz in 2020, ServiceUp has now raised a total of $69.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Capital Midwest Fund, Hearst Ventures, Litquidity Capital, PeakSpan Capital, and Trestle Partners.

Sundial – $23.0M

Palo Alto-based Sundial is an AI-native analytics platform that helps teams centralize data, generate insights, and drive faster, smarter decisions. Founded by Chandra Narayanan and Julie Zhuo in 2021, Sundial has now raised a total of $23.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Amjad Masad, Anil Varanasi, Brian Hale, Deborah Liu, Drew Houston, Electric Capital, Fidji Simo, GreatPoint Ventures, Howie Liu, Jay Parikh, Ruchi Sanghvi, Sequoia Capital, Shishir Mehrotra, Slow Ventures, Sunflower Capital, Tobias Lütke, Tribe Capital, and Unusual Ventures.

San Francisco-based AirGarage is the operating system for parking real estate. Founded by Chelsea Border, Jonathon Barkl, and Scott Fitsimones in 2018, AirGarage has now raised a total of $37.8M in total equity funding and is backed by Abstract, Andreessen Horowitz, Floodgate, Founders Fund, Fourthline Capital Management, and Headline.

WaHa – $8.0M

Fremont-based Revolutionary platform for solid desiccant regeneration improves energy efficiency and carbon emissions by 50% for HVAC and AWG applications Founded by Chris Kay, David Kuo, Eugene Kapustin, and Frank Ramirez in 2018, WaHa has now raised a total of $18.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Anthropocene Institute, Berkeley Catalyst Fund (BCF), Christian Tiringer, Mike Phillips, Mitsui Mining & Smelting, and Vesta Fund.

MaintainX – $150.0M

San Francisco-based MaintainX provides a CMMS/EAM platform that streamlines maintenance, work orders, and asset management for industrial and frontline teams. Founded by Chris Turlica, Hugo Dozois-Caouette, Mathieu Marengère-Gosselin, and Nick Haase in 2018, MaintainX has now raised a total of $253.8M in total equity funding and is backed by Amity Ventures, August Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, D. E. Shaw & Co., Dave McJannet, Fifth Down Capital, Founders Circle Capital, Rahul Mehta, and Sozo Ventures.

INSHUR – $35.0M

New York-based INSHUR is a digital insurance platform providing commercial auto insurance tailored for taxi, TLC, ride-share, and private hire drivers. Founded by Dan Bratshpis, David Daiches, Mathew Donfrancesco, Matthew Tomlinson, and Richard Anderson in 2016, INSHUR has now raised a total of $114.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Trinity Capital. OneText – $4.5M

San Francisco-based OneText provides text-based services to individuals and commercial entities in order to assist them in purchasing goods and services . Founded by Daniel Brain and Jonathan Fudem in 2021, OneText has now raised a total of $5.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Citi Ventures, Coatue, Good Friends, Khosla Ventures, Matthew Bellamy, and Y Combinator.

Varda – $187.0M

El Segundo-based Varda is a space manufacturing startup that creates products in microgravity and retrieves them for terrestrial use. Founded by Daniel Marshall, Delian Asparouhov, and Will Bruey in 2021, Varda has now raised a total of $328.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Also Capital, Caffeinated Capital, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Lux Capital, Natural Capital, and Shrug Capital.

Layer Financial Technologies – $6.6M

San Francisco-based Embedded Accounting for SMB platforms. Layer helps software companies launch accounting to their SMB customers. Founded by Daniel O’Neel and Justin Meretab in 2023, Layer Financial Technologies has now raised a total of $9.3M in total equity funding and is backed by Better Tomorrow Ventures and Emergence Capital.

RoofMarketplace – $7.0M

Madison-based RoofMarketplace is an online marketplace platform streamlining the roofing insurance claim process. Founded by David Kish, Tim Russell, and William Bazeley in 2017, RoofMarketplace has now raised a total of $13.1M in total equity funding and is backed by Wingra Capital.

Synfini – $8.9M

Menlo Park-based Synfini is a drug discovery platform combining AI, chemistry automation, and cloud tools to design improved molecules. Founded by Doug Donzelli, Nathan Collins, and Peter Madrid in 2023, Synfini has now raised a total of $10.4M in total equity funding and is backed by Ferocity Capital, Foothill Ventures, Gaingels, High Water Venture Partners, JSL Health Capital, Mana Ventures, SRI Ventures, Trust Ventures, and WERU Investment.

Agora – $49.5M

Jersey City-based Agora operates as a digital dollar and an asset platform for businesses, fintechs, and trading firms. Founded by Drake Evans, Joseph McGrady, and Nick van Eck in 2024, Agora has now raised a total of $61.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Dragonfly and Paradigm.

Parspec – $20.0M

San Francisco-based Parspec is an AI-native software platform that streamlines B2B procurement processes within the construction supply chain. Founded by Forest Flager and Pratyush Havelia in 2020, Parspec has now raised a total of $31.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Building Ventures, Heartland Ventures, Hometeam Ventures, Innovation Endeavors, and Threshold.

Nominal – $20.0M

New York-based Nominal mission is to empower companies to make the decisions through financial data intelligence. Founded by Golan Kopichinsky in 2023, Nominal has now raised a total of $29.2M in total equity funding and is backed by Bling Capital, Hyperwise Ventures, Incubate Fund, Next47, Vela Partners, and Workday Ventures.

Virtru – $50.0M

Washington-based Built on the OpenTDF standard, Virtru protects sensitive data flowing in and out of businesses via email, files, and SaaS applications. Founded by John Ackerly and Will Ackerly in 2012, Virtru has now raised a total of $185.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Chertoff Group, Foundry, and ICONIQ Capital.

Spacelift – $51.0M

Redwood City-based Spacelift is an infrastructure orchestration platform that manages provisioning, configuration, and governance workflows. Founded by Marcin Wyszynski and Pawel Hytry in 2019, Spacelift has now raised a total of $73.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Endeavor Catalyst, Five Elms Capital, and Inovo.vc.

Foundation EGI – $23.0M

Los Altos-based The EGI platform from the Foundation is designed to speed up all phases of the product development cycle Founded by Michael Foshey, Mok Oh, and Wojciech Matusik in 2023, Foundation EGI has now raised a total of $30.6M in total equity funding and is backed by E14 Fund, Escape Investment Management, Fifth Growth Fund, GRIDS Capital, Henry Ford III, McRock Capital, RRE Ventures, Translink Capital, and Union Labs Ventures.

Harmonic – $100.0M

Palo Alto-based Harmonic develops mathematical reasoning engine designed to tackle complex mathematical problems using AI technology. Founded by Tudor Achim and Vlad Tenev in 2023, Harmonic has now raised a total of $175.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Charlie Cheever, Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Paradigm, Ribbit Capital, and Sequoia Capital.
