Redalion- keep memories alive
Problem the startup solves:
We solve the problem of the lack of places in necropolises. It is becoming more and more difficult to find a place for a classic tombstone, which makes memorial plaques placed in rows on special walls gaining popularity. Apart from the space for basic data there is no possibility to provide other information about a given person. Redallions ensure that everyone, regardless of how they were buried, will have enough virtual space to cultivate their memory. Most people, especially younger generations, associate visiting the cemeteries only with a relatively boring standing over a stone slab. Redallions in an elegant and generally accessible way increase the attractiveness of visits to cemeteries by using innovative solutions and making this time more qualitative.
Progress and Current Status:
Our product will be ready to be launched on the market in one month. The platform has basic functionalities allowing to create profiles and share photos. The product has been tested by us and our friends/test customers. In the first phase of development, one Redalion model will be available in two variants: brass and steel.
What is an Inspiring Story about the Startup?:
The day where we cultivate the memory of our friends and family is very important in our country. it is free of work and in most cases the only time a year when we can stop for a while and think about our close ones who are no longer with us. Returning home every year after this day, we had mixed feelings, because on the one hand, it is a very valuable day, and on the other, there was always sadness in us due to the fact that most of these people left only a few photos in the home album and a tombstone with the inscription. In addition, while walking along the cemetery streets, children’s questions were heard very often: “Mom, what did grandma look like?” “Dad, what did your cousin do?” This disgust combined with the loss of several of our loved ones somehow forced us to find a way to prolong the memory of them. We were looking for a simple solution that would help to store and recall memories of loved ones in an elegant and accessible way. After several months of testing various solutions, we found the best of them, affordable, elegant and durable. This is how Redalion and our platform were created. Bearing in mind the fact that most people visit the graves of their loved ones once or twice a year, we wanted to provide a solution which to maximize the quality of the small amount of time we have for memories recollection.
What is a Company the Startup Looks Up to, and Why?:
We do not have one company that is a model for us. We try to take the best from successful startups by creating a seemingly simple business that optimizes a simple process as in the case of sending and editing photos via Snapchat or creating a simple page for their publication as in the case of Instagram. On the basis of a simple business such as Redalion, which will be our foundation, it is dreamed of building a multi-industry technology company that will create solutions that help people and have a positive social impact.
The Company in Four Years Will Be…
We want to be a company that provides technological solutions for funeral market and all related solutions. Our goal is to start with simple solution as Redalion and turn it into multi product company.Over the next 4 years, we would like to become the leader of our market in Europe by expanding the range of products, constantly introducing additional functionalities as well as expanding the range of our services by providing a marketplace for funeral services and a platform connecting people who want to hire others to do the maintenance of tombstones with contractors of given services (in the format of Uber or Glovo).
