Amsterdam-based Alleo acquired by Helsinki’s Epassi: Know more
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

Helsinki-based Epassi acquires Amsterdam-based Alleo to build a unified employee benefits platform. Know more!

Helsinki-based Epassi, a company specialised in digital employee benefits technology, has acquired Amsterdam-based Alleo (formerly YourCampus), an HR platform focused on improving employee benefits and compensation.

The acquisition is aimed at expanding its presence in the Dutch market.

Together with Bedrijfsfitness Nederland, Workit, and Vip District, this acquisition accelerates the creation of a single, integrated multi-benefit platform for employee benefits in the Netherlands.

As part of Epassi, Alleo will become the core platform in the Dutch market, integrating the offerings of Bedrijfsfitness Nederland, Workit, and Vip District into a single multi-benefit experience.

This enables personalised employee benefits experience, while reducing administrative complexity and providing HR teams with clear data insights.

Alleo: A compensation and benefits platform

Founded in 2021 by Florian Gendrault, Ruben van den Boogaard, Sven Cune, George Visniuc, and Adil Bougamza, Alleo claims to meet the evolving needs of the modern workforce by offering highly personalised compensation packages.

The company’s platform combines a wide range of benefits, including corporate fitness, bike leasing, mental wellness, savings, and hundreds of partner offerings, enabling employers to build stronger, healthier, and more resilient teams.

Alleo prioritises personalised and inclusive total compensation solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of different generations.

They aim to create a work environment where compensation and benefits packages enhance employees’ total income and well-being.

Alleo is used daily by more than 400 organisations with 200,000 employees.

Florian Gendrault, Founder & CEO of Alleo, says, “This strategic combination accelerates the growth in the Netherlands, together with all Epassi brands in the group, while positioning us strongly for European market leadership. We’re thrilled that Alleo’s platform will support customers across the Epassi Group, while giving our own customers access to an even richer and more comprehensive offering.”

Epassi: Employee benefits technology provider

Founded in 2007, Epassi combines all benefits into one mobile app-centric, user-friendly digital service, providing a digital marketplace for employee benefits.

Currently, the Epassi Group serves nearly 50,000 employers and their over 36 million employees, with 107,000 service providers as partners.

At present, the company has a strong presence in the Nordics, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and France.

“Alleo fits perfectly within the Epassi family, and we are excited to welcome them. By combining the strengths of our Dutch companies, we go far beyond viewing employee benefits as just an administrative part of HR policy. We are creating a platform that is actively used and provides employers with a strategic tool to attract, retain, and develop talent,” says Pekka Rantala, CEO of Epassi Group.

The people who stay kind after being hurt aren’t soft — they’re the most structurally complex people in any room, because they’re holding two truths at the same time: that the world can be brutal and that they refuse to be, and the energy required to hold both of those without collapsing into one is a weight that nobody sees because it looks like ease

I’m 66 and I finally understand that my father’s anger when I came home late wasn’t about rules — it was about the 45 minutes he spent at the window imagining every possible version of what might have happened, and by the time I walked through the door his nervous system had processed so many catastrophic simulations that the relief arrived as fury because his body didn’t have a calmer way to discharge the accumulation

I used to think forgiveness meant I had to feel peaceful about what happened. It took me until my late thirties to understand that forgiveness is just the moment you stop carrying someone else’s debt in your own body and it has absolutely nothing to do with how you feel about them.

Research suggests that people who talk to themselves out loud while problem-solving aren’t eccentric — they’re accessing a cognitive loop that processes information 30% more efficiently than internal dialogue, and the habit that most people suppress in public is the exact mechanism their brain would choose if social judgement weren’t part of the equation
