AI Tool of the Week: Copenhagen’s Corti launches Europe’s first sovereign healthcare AI infrastructure
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

Copenhagen-based Corti, an AI infrastructure provider for healthcare, has introduced new cloud capabilities to help European health systems use advanced, real-time AI while following strict data privacy laws.

Led by Andreas Cleve, Corti is a research and development company that specialises in state-of-the-art AI foundation models and infrastructure for healthcare.

Corti’s goal is to remove administrative barriers in healthcare and life sciences, making expert healthcare reasoning available worldwide. This will help lower costs and improve the quality of care with reliable AI models.

As we look to expand Silicon Canals’ “AI Tool of the Week” series, our focus will now shift beyond just tools to include platforms, infrastructure, research, ethical frameworks, and policies as the AI ecosystem continues to grow.

In this edition, we will explore how Corti’s AI infrastructure is tackling challenges faced by health systems.

What does Corti solve?

With healthcare facing a projected shortage of 10M workers globally by 2030, most technology providers force them to choose between innovation and compliance.

The Danish company Corti’s infrastructure addresses this problem, allowing for safe and compliant AI use on a large scale.

This makes Corti the first major healthcare AI company to create infrastructure specifically for regulated markets.

Switzerland has very strict data privacy laws, making it tough for tech companies to operate. That’s why Corti decided to start here.

In partnership with Voicepoint, Switzerland’s medical documentation provider, Corti is delivering sovereign AI infrastructure where the regulatory threshold is highest.

Voicepoint is improving the quality and efficiency of speech-based medical documentation, so healthcare professionals can focus on what really matters.

With over 20 years of experience, strong data protection, in-house software development, and a team of medical specialists, Voicepoint offers customised solutions that meet high standards.

“Switzerland sets the gold standard for data privacy in healthcare,” said Reto Heusser, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Voicepoint. “Working with Corti enables us to meet those requirements without giving up access to cutting-edge clinical AI.”

If it can succeed here, Corti can help unlock compliant AI across Europe and beyond, claims the company.

“Most AI vendors are still packaging other people’s infrastructure, models, or managed services,” says Andreas Cleve, CEO and co-founder of Corti. “Corti is different. We’ve built a vertically integrated platform from models to sovereign cloud architecture capable of deploying in the most restrictive jurisdictions in the world. Our Switzerland launch proves we control the full AI stack better than any other healthcare AI platform – that’s what it takes to build safe, scalable AI for global healthcare.”

World’s first AI infrastructure for health care

Corti’s infrastructure removes that trade-off, enabling safe, compliant AI adoption at scale, making Corti the first major healthcare AI company to engineer an infrastructure specifically designed for regulated markets.

Unlike competitors that rely on hyperscaler-managed services, Corti’s platform is designed to operate across any cloud or on-premises data centre, with the flexibility to exit any provider if regulatory, financial, or geopolitical needs require.

The company’s sovereign cloud infrastructure is on track to protect patient data in one of the world’s toughest regulatory environments by Q3 2025.

This marks the first real-world deployment of sovereign AI infrastructure purpose-built for healthcare, engineered from the ground up.

“European Healthcare AI should be available on the most secure and compliant infrastructure possible,” said Frederik Brabant, Chief Medical Strategy Officer, Corti. “We’re designing for that future now: compliance-first, and built to support care teams, no matter where or how they operate.”

The company’s models integrate seamlessly into any healthcare application through Corti’s SDKs and APIs, enabling vendors, providers, and payers to leverage safe, cutting-edge AI across extensive use cases in healthcare.
