EPS Rises Victoria’s Secret & Co (NYSE: VSCO) reported a loss of $2.77 per share, versus the consensus estimate of a $2.47. The apparel retailer’s fourth-quarter results showed meaningful improvement in profitability despite ongoing challenges in the consumer discretionary space.
Sales Rise. The company generated revenue of $2.27 billion for the quarter, up 8% year-over-year. The top-line figure reflects the critical holiday shopping period for the lingerie and beauty retailer. Shares fell 3.4% following the report on trading volume of 2.8 million shares, suggesting investors may have been looking for stronger guidance or a path to profitability despite the better-than-expected loss.
