Visitors to Grand Teton National Park on July 7 might have been exposed to measles.
The Wyoming park issued a news release Friday revealing potential exposure locations and times of day:
–July 7: Colter Bay Convenience Store, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
–July 7: Colter Bay Cabin Office, 3 p.m. to midnight.
The park also listed potential exposure sites outside the park in Teton County:
–July 5: Smith’s Food and Drug, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
–July 5: Wendy’s, 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The news release reads, in part: “Individuals who were at the listed locations during the identified times should monitor themselves for symptoms for 21 days following their potential exposure.
“Anyone who develops symptoms should call their health care provider before seeking medical care so appropriate precautions can be taken to prevent exposing others.”
The park shared this information after the Wyoming Department of Health confirmed a second case of measles, a highly contagious respiratory disease, in Teton County.
All of Grand Teton National Park is in Teton County. Colter Bay is on Jackson Lake in the northern portion of Grand Teton National Park.
