FCA US LLC is recalling over 60,000 vehicles in the United States due to a power transfer unit that may fail, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
According to the recall notice posted by the NHTSA, a failed power transfer unit may result in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The total number of vehicles affected by this recall is 61,711.

The recall includes certain 2019–2023 Jeep Cherokee vehicles.
What Car Owners Should Do
The NHTSA says the remedy is currently under development; however, interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed June 25, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy becomes available.
