Why Interactive Experiences Accelerate CX Transformation Faster Than Training

Modern video games don’t make you read a manual before you start to play. They drop players into a simulated world, give them simple objectives, and let them learn by doing. Even board games take the same approach, with cut-down quick-start versions and even free downloadable content to hook you in.

That same principle explains why interactive experiences often drive better customer experience (CX) outcomes than traditional training.

From Slides To Simulations

At our recent CX Summit and Forums, participants built strategies, negotiated budgets, responded to executive challenges, and adapted to unexpected changes — in 50 minutes, all simulated. One participant told us, “We made more progress in 50 minutes than in months of real-world discussions.”

The reason is simple: Simulations remove just enough real-world complexity to help people focus on decision-making. Rather than debating every organizational constraint, participants can experiment, collaborate, and see the consequences of their choices in real time. They build a mental model of success before returning to the realities of implementation.
