RBC Capital Initiates Coverage on NuScale Power Corporation (SMR) with a ‘Sector Perform’ Rating and a $35 Price Target

On September 15, 2025, RBC Capital initiated coverage on NuScale Power Corporation (NYSE:SMR) with a ‘Sector Perform’ rating and a $35 price target.

Despite recognizing NuScale Power Corporation (NYSE:SMR) as a pioneer in small modular reactor (SMR) technology, RBC assigned the stock a Speculative Risk rating. RBC pointed out that the company is strongly positioned to benefit from the rising demand for always-on sustainable electricity, which could lead to a nuclear comeback. However, RBC noted it would like to see more proof of NuScale’s partnership model scalability before taking a more positive stance.

NuScale Power Corporation (NYSE:SMR) offers SMR technology solutions. Its flagship product, the NuScale Power Module (NPM), is a water-cooled reactor with a 77-megawatt electrical output. It is one of the Best Utility Stocks.
