From the Back Forty: Trump Celebrates a Birthday as TDS Rages
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

The heartland braced itself for fielding and responding to all the TDS on social media as many folks cannot grasp Flag Day, President Donald Trump’s birthday, and a UFC mega event all in the same day. We also discovered a sheriff in Florida that everyone has been talking about. And finally, scandal-ridden Democratic Senate Candidate Graham Platner shares the controversial limelight with another.

And just a side note: Has anyone heard a progressive call anyone who disagrees with them a Nazi lately? Nope. That seems to be over like the #MeToo movement – guess we have Graham Platner to thank for that, at least.

TDS and a Gilded Cage Match

Flags fly everywhere in the heartland, from storefronts, fence posts, on automobile antennas – anywhere one can stick a flag. There really is nothing more patriotic than the snap of Old Glory. It’s festive. It is Flag Day. But it’s also the president’s birthday and a celebration for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Naturally, there is a cauldron of angst, bitterness, and hate bubbling up where the crazy progressives partake a cupful. The skinny-legged jeans warriors with blue hair and pronouns have resorted to calling everyone white trash.

But in Louisiana, Millie Guidry says: “Celebrating 250 yrs…party on.”

The heartland is happy to live and let live, and think, why not? Let’s embrace the UFC Freedom 250 event. Former President Joe Biden always wanted to kick Trump’s golden rear, and Hunter Biden invited the Trump sons to some kind of First Son Fight Club. Now, however, the left doesn’t want the fight? While progressives ironically organize yet another No Kings rally, the rest of America celebrates the 250th year since the Founding Fathers gave King George the big middle finger in 1776. In honor of that, the UFC folks have sunk $60 million into their UFC Freedom 250 event on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday, June 14. But no, the TDS-riddled left protests, instead.

In Kentucky, Shane Walsh shared: “These Democrats are the reason this nation ain’t going forward.”

Really? Another One?

Remember Graham Platner? Of course, how could you forget the Nazi tattoo-wearing, slur-slinging, veteran-mocking, and allegedly abusive Democrat hopeful from Maine? Well, he may have been the flavor of the week for the outrage-hungry – but now there’s another option on the menu.

Bobby Pulido, a musician turned Democratic candidate for the Texas 15th Congressional District, was caught on tape bragging about helping his buddy and bandmate, a convicted child sex offender, get out of jail.

William Quantrill of Missouri did not miss a beat: “The party of pedophilia.”

Pulido, a Latin Grammy-winning singer, began a sad backpedal of sorts. His campaign manager went on the record with Fox News Digital: “Bobby was never made aware of Caballero’s sex offender registration and would never knowingly associate with anyone with that kind of history. Bobby extends his deepest sympathies and support to all of the victims involved.”

Dale Royster, in Ohio, was not surprised: “They vote for guys with Nazi tattoos. Why should this be bothersome to them?”

Media Takes Another Well-Deserved Hit.

Florida’s Marion County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference to discuss “Operation Bad Habits,” which led to the arrest of 58 child predators. That’s a win. Sheriff Billy Woods was flanked by the other members of law enforcement, who clearly were pleased as punch and waiting patiently for the legal-speak portion of the event.

Well, enter a progressive local reporter with an off-topic question. Woods went a bit Rambo and told the poor guy off in no uncertain terms, laced with a bit of name-calling and cursing. Needless to say, heartlanders were impressed.

Nikola in Brewton, AL, said: “Sheriff Be On It.”

In Prosper, TX,  Michelle Pachulski appreciated his style: “Good man! That’s the kind of masculinity we need. Standing up for what’s good and calling out evil and doing what’s right for mankind.”

A lot of people watched the video that might make this guy famous, as the man to his left started to smirk right before Woods let the scolding fly. “Man in the suit knew the reporter was gonna get it,” one person From the Back Forty observed.

In St Louis, Sue Bogdanovich Stauffer had a mild case of the hysterics: “Gonads! Haven’t heard that in 35 years.”

Yeah, Woods said “gonads.” But the good man handled the reporter the way he was media trained: classic blocking and bridging technique with some Florida spice. When a reporter tries to take you off-topic, you acknowledge it and steer right back to the key message.
