Domestic Terrorism Foiled: FBI Says UFC 250 Event Targeted

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has revealed that the UFC Freedom 250 event staged on June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House, was the target of an alleged domestic terrorism plot involving explosive drones and snipers.

According to the FBI, the plan was first uncovered on June 10. One individual was arrested in Cincinnati, OH, and, by June 15, five people had been detained. So far, 23 possible co-conspirators have been identified.

According to the Fox News report, the planned assault involved flying explosive-laden drones into buildings around the UFC event, causing an evacuation that would be targeted by snipers. The White House gate would then be stormed in a follow-up attack,

The alleged domestic terrorism network had been communicating via the Signal encrypted messaging app. An examination of one suspect’s cell phone revealed at least 23 individuals were involved in planning discussions. A number of them had prepared to travel to Fredericksburg, VA, in the days prior to the event to make final plans.

Domestic Terrorism Targeting Billionaires, Politicians

The FBI worked with the United States Secret Service to disrupt the plot. In a statement, Secret Service Director Sean Curran said, “In the days leading up to this weekend, our special agents, mission support personnel, and technical security teams worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable.” He added that further details would be disclosed in court filings.

One of the suspects reportedly told investigators that the principal targets were “capitalist elites” and “billionaires,” as well as politicians who take donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

In a statement to Fox News Digital, FBI Director Kash Patel said, “Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody, and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold.”
