Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave a shoutout to Texas in a speech on Wednesday.
At the New York Federal Reserve building, Bessent said while today’s venue is Wall Street, it could “maybe in a few years, [be] Y’all Street in Dallas.” But his audience is always going to be “Main Street,” he added.
Dallas has seen a growing presence of financial services workers, rivaling New York City. Goldman Sachs, last month, revealed new renderings of the interior of its Dallas campus. JPMorganChase’s website states that it’s one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s largest employers.
