Spiffy, a Toronto-based digital training platform for
workplaces, has been acquired by Oliver Solutions. The financial
terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Spiffy was founded in 2016 as a modern micro-learning platform
for restaurants looking to upskill their employees on in-store
products and brands. As a result of the pandemic, Spiffy pivoted
from the restaurant industry into the cannabis retail space. The
platform currently serves a number of restaurants and over 1,000
cannabis retailers.
In 2019, Spiffy graduated from the DMZ, a leading
business incubator that equips leading tech entrepreneurs with the
tools needed to build, launch, and scale start-ups. Goodmans LLP
acts as Legal Counsel in Residence at the DMZ.
Oliver Solutions is a longstanding leader in training and
education, specifically in Canada’s financial services sector.
The acquisition will enable Oliver Solutions to provide a
comprehensive solution for organizations looking to engage and
educate their workforce while ensuring compliance in regulated
learning environments.
