Upside App — Earn Cash On Gas Purchases {Extra alt=

Looking for ways to earn some cash? Try the Upside app to earn cash back on your gas purchases! It’s super easy to get started!

{Looking for ways to save with your phone? Be sure to check out Swagbucks, Ibotta, and Fetch Rewards!}

If you’re looking for some creative ways to earn a little cash, be sure to check out the Upside App!

Plus, use code CACTUS to earn a $5 cash back bonus on your first purchase of $10 or more or earn an extra $0.25/gallon cash back on your first fill-up with code 25CACTUS. Only one code can be used.

The Upside App (Formerly GetUpside App)

Upside (previously known as GetUpside) is a mobile app that provides cash back offers at gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. It’s free to download on iOS or Android.

Right now, their primary focus and main way to earn is at gas stations (but they are in the process of adding more grocery stores and restaurants every day, so keep checking back to see what’s available in your region!).

I tried this app out and it’s super easy to use! I’m really excited to start earning cash back on all of my gas purchases!!

How Does the Upside App Work?

To earn money back on gas, just follow these steps:

Go HERE.

Look at the map for offers in your area.

Claim an offer near you.

Fill up within 4 hours to redeem it.

There are two ways to redeem: either by submitting a receipt or by providing your card number at locations with a blue lightning bolt.

Print the receipt and submit it. Or select which card you’re using for instant processing without the need to submit a receipt. (Look for the blue lightning bolt — only available at select locations.)

That’s it! You’ll receive your cash back in 2-4 days!

I used the app today when I filled up on gas. I filled up at a Shell station that had the blue lightning bolt, and it was SO easy. Now it shows as processing in my account and I’ll see the cash back in just a couple days!

Is the Upside App (formerly GetUpside Gas App) Available Everywhere?

The Upside app is available in most cities across the U.S. and has over 25,000 gas stations participating nation wide.

In my area, I had TONS of choices of gas stations. I was very impressed, and I didn’t have to go out of my way even slightly!

How Much Can You Earn with the Upside App?

For the gas rewards, you’ll typically earn up to $0.25/gallon depending on the location. So if you fill up 15 gallons, that’s $3.75 savings per fueling! Not bad!!

But that’s not all! They have a really great referral program, which allows you to earn even more. You’ll earn a $0.15/gallon bonus when you refer a friend (and they’ll also receive an extra $0.15/gallon bonus on their second fueling).

Also, referrers will continue to earn an extra $0.01/gallon every time their referral redeems an Upside gas offer. Pretty cool!

gift card options for cash out on Upside app

How do you cash out with the Upside Gas App?

You can cash out via paypal, gift cards, or direct deposit. Withdraw directly to your bank or to popular gift cards with no points to convert and no minimum to cash out.

And they have a big selection of popular gift cards to choose from, including Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Dunkin, Panera, Kohl’s, Home Depot, Target, CVS, Ace Hardware, Walmart, and more!

Whichever way you choose to cash out, I have a feeling these earnings will add up VERY quickly — especially if you commute to work a lot!

Upside App (Formerly GetUpside Gas App) FAQ

Is the Upside App a legitimate App?

Yes, Upside is a 100% legitimate and reputable app! I’ve been using it for over a year and absolutely love it!

Which gas stations use Upside app?

Popular participating gas stations include BP, Mobil, Shell, Speedway, Racetrac, Circle K, Exxon, and many more! Different geographical regions have different participating gas stations, though.

Is the Upside App free?

Yes, the Upside gas app is 100% free to download and use!

Does the Upside App charge a fee?

No, you’ll never pay anything to use the Upside app!

How long does the Upside App take to deposit money?

It typically takes 2-4 days to see your money show up from your most recent redemption at the gas pump.

Can you use a debit card with the Upside App?

Yes! Just enter the first six and last four digits of the card to add it to your Upside wallet and use it at any gas station!

Does the Upside App work for diesel?

Yes! You can redeem gas offers for all grades of gasoline, including diesel!

Does Upside work at Sam’s Club?

Unfortunately, no. Sam’s Club has its own fuel rewards program, so Upside does not work at Sam’s Club.

Have you ever tried the Upside app? I’d love to hear your thoughts, if so!
