Discover how to make fluffy, tender whole wheat biscuits that rise tall and taste delicious — all with the nourishing goodness of whole grains. This easy recipe proves you don’t have to sacrifice softness or flavor to bake a healthier biscuit!

I love biscuits! There’s nothing like a warm, fresh-from-the-oven flaky biscuit slathered with butter! And they make an easy breakfast or the perfect side for hearty soups during the cooler months of fall and winter.

I’ve tried many biscuit recipes over the years, and I like different ones for different reasons. Some of them use over-the-top amounts of butter and, while they taste amazing, I prefer to save them for special occasions. This particular recipe uses less butter (which makes it more waistline friendly and more economical!), plus it ups the nutritional value by adding in whole wheat flour.

Fluffy whole wheat flour biscuits elevate an average weeknight meal into something special! As far as biscuit recipes go, this one is exceptionally fast to throw together and pop in the oven.
