Who Funds No Kings Rallies?
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

No Kings rallies have become a regular occurrence in America since Donald Trump became president. Thousands show up to scheduled events, well-equipped with matching signs and catchy calls, all to portray the commander-in-chief as an authoritarian dictator. He is depicted sitting high on his lofty throne, holding a golden scepter as he exercises his absolute rule. But who is funding these organized protests, and what do they accomplish?

Who Funds No Kings Rallies?

At the top of the list is George Soros, a billionaire and well-known Democratic Party donor. He is the founder of Open Society Foundations and has donated millions of dollars to Indivisible, a grassroots organization, “to support the grantee’s social welfare activities,” according to Open Society Foundations’ website. Indivisible manages data and communications with participants for the No Kings rallies.

Indivisible says on its front page: “We need Democratic leaders capable of defeating the fascist threat posed by Trump and MAGA Republicans.” They have a section to endorse political candidates, including Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner. At the time of this writing, it had three main “weekly to-dos” listed: “End the Illegal Blockade on Cuba,” “Solidarity with Hunger Strikers: Demand Congressional Action Against Trump’s Mass Detention Regime,” and “Tell Congress to Say No to Warrantless AI Mass Surveillance.”

The No Kings organization has a massive list of “partners,” and spokeswoman Eunic Epstein-Ortiz said it is not an organization or a formal entity that can accept donations. “It is a coalition of over 270+ partners and a decentralized movement driven by volunteers and activists across the country,” she stated.

Fox News Digital identified socialist and communist organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American businessman with ties to communist China, that are sending members to the protests. Other contributors to the No Kings movement include 50501 and MoveOn. Estimates indicate as much as $300 million has been given in support of various organizations.

Despite the hundreds of labor unions, religious movements, and immigrant rights activists, the movement lacks an official leader. “You can’t beat a cult of personality with another larger cult of personality,” said Hunter Dunn, an organizer with the 50501 movement, referring to Donald Trump.

The No Kings movement may not have a single leader, but it is supported by a wide network of organizations and donors. While supporters call it grassroots activism, critics argue it is less about policy and more about a coordinated effort built around opposition to Trump. Whatever the motivation, the money trail reveals that well-funded organizations and wealthy donors are investing heavily in efforts centered on opposing the president.
