Stockholm-based Hubert, the AI-first hiring platform, has secured €2.5M in a seed funding round led by Spintop Ventures.

Spintop Ventures is a pan-Nordic seed-stage venture capital firm with 15 years of experience scaling software-based technology companies.

“Hubert is setting a new global standard for fair, data-driven hiring. The positive outcomes of AI interviews have already been demonstrated in multiple studies, and Hubert’s explainable AI has all the ingredients to scale into a category leader. We are thrilled to support them as they redefine managing high-volume hiring”, says Peter Carlsson, Partner at Spintop Ventures, the leading Nordic early-stage VC focused on software innovation and long-term sustainability.

Last week, the Swedish VC announced its expansion by opening a permanent office in Denmark and hiring Jasenko Hadzic as a Principal.

Other participating investors include Bonnier-linked profiles Jakob Tolleryd, Chairman of Bonnier Capital, Peder Bonnier, Vice Chairman of Bonnier Group, and Joen Bonnier, Board Member of Bonnier Capital.

The company will use the funds to accelerate its product innovation as it targets over 400 per cent revenue growth in 2025, while remaining profitable.

“This investment gives us the funds to accelerate our product roadmap and seize the opportunity ahead,” says Fredrik Östgren, CEO and Co-Founder of Hubert. “We’re revolutionising large-scale hiring for our customers; and doing it profitably, with fairness and transparency at the core.”

The funding comes at a time when the Swedish company has experienced exceptional growth and maintained profitability.

Hubert: Streamlining high-volume hiring

Structured interviews are an effective way to screen candidates because they are versatile and valid, and candidates tend to appreciate them.

However, they can be time-consuming and complex to schedule.

This is the exact problem Hubert aims to solve!

Led by Fredrik Östgren, Hubert is a recruitment technology company using proprietary AI to conduct automated screening interviews at scale.

The company simplifies the screening process for high-volume hiring by using role-based interviews in a user-friendly chat format, powered by advanced artificial intelligence.

According to the company, its technology supports fairer and more data-driven processes – enabling better outcomes for both candidates and recruiters.

Additionally, this approach enables a scalable and cost-efficient solution, accelerating hiring processes by up to 80 per cent while significantly reducing manual screening time and costs.

The company also says every candidate receives personalised feedback to enhance their experience even as the process scales.
