Investors, auditors, and stakeholders expect clear, GAAP-compliant revenue reporting that accurately reflects the company’s performance. Under ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), SaaS companies must ensure they properly recognize revenue from subscriptions, licensing, and services.
