Manchester, NH – [July 29, 2025] – York IE, an advisory and investment firm, announced today the promotion of Marshall Everson to Partner. This milestone reflects Marshall’s significant contributions to the firm’s investment platform and highlights York IE’s continued momentum in transforming early-stage investing.

Everson was a founding team member of York IE back in 2019 and has played a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting portfolio companies while also contributing to the firm’s unique post-investment value creation model. His promotion comes during a strong period of growth for York IE, which has deployed more than $60 million across 63 portfolio companies, including Cyberhaven, Vetro, Pixaera, and Givzey.

“Marshall has been instrumental in the success and evolution of York IE’s investment practice. He brings strategic insight, deep market understanding, and a tireless commitment to our founders and partners. This promotion is a reflection of the trust he has earned and the impact he continues to make on our firm and the broader innovation economy.”

Kyle York

CEO and Managing Partner of York IE.

The firm’s differentiated investment thesis focuses on capital-efficient B2B SaaS companies with strong founder-market fit, layered with strategic guidance from York IE’s experienced operators. It’s a model that continues to gain traction and results.

“York IE is redefining what it means to be an early-stage investor. We’re not just writing checks. We’re helping build real, durable companies alongside exceptional founders. I’m honored to take on this new role and excited to continue expanding our investment practice and its impact in the years ahead.”

York IE continues to scale its capabilities in 2025, now screening thousands of companies per year while strengthening its global presence. As a partner, Marshall will take on greater responsibility in shaping York IE’s investment strategy, expanding the firm’s network of co-investors and LPs, leading its Minneapolis office, and guiding early-stage companies through long-term, sustainable growth.

Prior to joining York IE, Marshall was an analyst on Oracle’s  strategic development team. He started his career as a professional hockey player before transitioning into the corporate world, and received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.

Everson works closely with the York IE portfolio, arming them with the insights and strategy needed for business growth and success. He currently sits on the board of Science on Call, Creatively Focused, Leni, 40Grid, Juicer and Ovation.

“One of the things I’ve most appreciated about working with Marshall is that he gets in the trenches with you. Our business is better because Marshall and the York IE team have worked shoulder to shoulder with us, not chasing vanity metrics or building slides for the sake of it, but truly helping us grow.”

Zack Oates

CEO of Ovation, a York IE portfolio company.

York IE currently invests through a rolling, evergreen syndicate focused on early-stage B2B SaaS companies which has enabledYork IE to build a diversified portfolio of high-growth technology businesses. This innovative model also means that York IE is always looking to add more limited partners like family office, multi-family office, Registered Investment Advisors (RIA), fund of funds, and foundations.
