The Monaco Hydrogen Alliance, a nonprofit organisation based in the Principality of Monaco, in collaboration with MobilityVC, announced the formation of MH2Fund, a new venture dedicated to backing early-stage companies advancing the hydrogen economy.
The MH2Fund aims to support hydrogen technologies that can help reduce carbon emissions in transportation, industry, and logistics.

By combining strong policy connections with venture capital strategies, MH2 wants to promote the growth of Europe’s hydrogen sector from research to large-scale use.
First investment in SunGreenH2
The organisation is making its first investment by leading a new funding round for SunGreenH2, a company that develops affordable, modular green hydrogen electrolysers.
Based out of Singapore, SunGreenH2 is pioneering the materials operating system for the decarbonised molecule economy.
Through its proprietary NanoForgeXTM platform, the company engineers advanced nanostructured electrodes that double hydrogen output, reduce energy consumption, and eliminate the need for rare metals.
Beyond hydrogen, SunGreenH2’s technology provides efficient solutions for reducing CO2 and producing clean, green molecules affordably on a large scale.
SunGreenH2’s platform is already gaining traction with partners across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
With the backing of MH2, the company will expand its product line and accelerate deployments across Europe and the globe.
“Now more than ever, Europe needs abundant, affordable green hydrogen to power its energy transition. With MH2’s support, we’re delighted to be accelerating the scale-up of our breakthrough electrolyser technology and expanding our footprint across key European markets. Together, we’re building the foundation for a cleaner, more resilient energy future,” adds Tulika Raj, Co-Founder and CEO of SunGreenH2.
Monaco Hydrogen Alliance: Promoting renewable hydrogen in transportation
The Monaco Hydrogen Alliance is a nonprofit organisation based in Monaco that works to promote the use of renewable hydrogen in transportation.
It brings together various stakeholders, including industry leaders, policymakers, and investors, to encourage collaboration and innovation in clean hydrogen solutions.
Every year, the Alliance hosts the Monaco Hydrogen Forum, where experts gather to discuss new developments in hydrogen mobility.
They also create task forces, publish important reports, and award the Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation to recognise significant advancements in sustainable transport.
With the support of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance aims to promote energy transition and make hydrogen a key part of low-carbon mobility worldwide.
John Rossant, Chairman of the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance, says, “This investment is a direct outcome of the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance’s work bringing together the continent’s most ambitious hydrogen players. MH2 is the natural next step to turn vision into velocity.”
MobilityVC: Group of founders and funders
MobilityVC is a global group of founders and funders with experience in the mobility sectors.
They work with startups and established companies that are innovating in areas like connectivity, autonomy, shared mobility, energy, and logistics across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
