There’s been a lot happening in the tech and startup world lately with new funding, acquisitions, and expansion plans.

With so much happening at once, it’s easy to miss a few stories along the way.

That’s why we’ve compiled some of the key updates that might’ve slipped through the cracks this week.

From raising funds to advance clinical development of brain cancer treatment to fast-track renewable projects, here’s a quick roundup of the news you might’ve missed.

MECH-I-TRONIC secures €105M investment

Paris-based industrial automation group MECH-I-TRONIC has secured a €105M investment from Three Hills, Azimut Libera Impresa, and HAT, joining the company’s holding entity, Groupack Holdings, as minority stakeholders. Three Hills led with €75M, while Azimut and HAT contributed €15M each. Alongside the equity deal, MECH-I-TRONIC extended its credit facility by €75M, bringing total available capital to around €200M. The group plans to use these funds to accelerate its global growth, aiming to reach €400M in revenue by 2026 and €500M by 2028, while preserving its entrepreneurial-led, federated company model. Solveo Energies raises €98M to fast-track renewable projects

Solveo Energies, a renewable energy producer, has secured €98M in strategic funding led by Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, alongside Solveo’s historic investors. Solveo Energies operates with full in-house control of development, financing, construction, and operations. The new funding will support the company’s ambitious plan to deploy 800 MW of clean energy capacity by 2030, requiring nearly €875 million in total investment. (Read more)

EnduroSat secures €43M to ramp up Gen3 satellite production

Bulgarian space-tech company EnduroSat has raised €43M in a major funding round led by Founders Fund, with support from CEECAT Capital, Morphosis Capital, and returning investors. The funds will drive production of its Endurance Gen3 ESPA-class satellites and support expansion in Europe and the U.S. With a new 17,500 m² facility underway in Sofia and plans to produce 60 satellites per month, EnduroSat aims to make constellation deployment more accessible and cost-efficient through its all-in-one Space Service model. Cerby lands €35.2M to expand AI-powered identity security

Cerby, the identity security automation startup, has raised $40M in a Series B round led by DTCP, with backing from existing investors Okta Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Two Sigma Ventures. Cerby specialises in identity lifecycle automation for disconnected apps—covering credentials, authentication, access, and governance across EPM, IAM, IGA, and PAM systems. The funding will support the expansion of its Cerby Application Network, scale agentic AI capabilities, and deepen reach in key markets such as Germany, France, and the UK., along with strategic Middle Eastern regions.

Plagazi wins €29.5M EU grant to turn waste into green hydrogen

Plagazi, a Swedish ClimateTech firm, has secured a €29.5M grant from the EU Innovation Fund to develop its flagship Gävle Circular Park (GCP), which converts non-recyclable waste into low-emission hydrogen. Plagazi uses a patented thermochemical process and plasma gasification tech from InEnTec to transform 22,000 tons of waste annually into up to 4,000 tons of circular hydrogen, while capturing CO₂ in liquid form. The pilot plant, set to launch by May 2028, is among just 85 EU-backed projects out of 337 applicants. (Read more)

Bloq.it secures €28M to expand smart locker empire across Europe

Lisbon-based Bloq.it, a fast-growing startup specialising in smart parcel lockers, has closed a €28M in a Series B funding round to help accelerate hiring, enter new European markets and fuel M&A strategies. Since its founding in 2019, Bloq.it has processed over 50 million shipments annually and recorded an explosive 73,083 per cent revenue growth since 2021. Its customizable, logistics-friendly locker system already powers partnerships with giants like DHL eCommerce, GLS, and Vinted Go. (Read more)

Volare raises €26M to build world’s most efficient insect protein plant

Finnish biotech company Volare has closed a €26M funding round to build Volare 01, a next-generation insect protein facility designed to be the most efficient in the world. Backed by private investors and public institutions, including Maki.vc, Firstminute Capital, Finnvera, and The Finnish Climate Fund—the new plant will scale Volare’s proprietary, zero-waste black soldier fly technology. Volare turns food industry byproducts into premium protein, oil, and fertilizer, supporting circular agriculture and reducing Europe’s dependence on imported protein. (Read more)

SpAItial emerges from stealth with $13M to pioneer Spatial Foundation Models for 3D AI

Berlin-based SpAItial, a deep tech startup redefining how AI interacts with 3D environments, has launched from stealth with a $13M seed round led by Earlybird Venture Capital and supported by Speedinvest and notable angels. SpAItial is developing Spatial Foundation Models (SFMs) — a new AI category capable of generating photorealistic 3D worlds from a single image. Unlike conventional models, SFMs are grounded in space and time, enabling accurate understanding and simulation of real-world environments. (Read more)

Inven raises €11.2M to reinvent private market deal sourcing with AI

Helsinki-based Inven, an AI-driven platform reshaping how investors discover private market deals, has raised €11.2M in Series A funding co-led by Ventech and Vendep Capital. Founded in 2022 by ex-McKinsey and BCG consultants, Inven tackles the inefficiencies in traditional deal sourcing. Its platform maps and analyzes a dynamic network of over 21 million companies, uncovering real-time investment signals often missed by static databases. (Read more)

Stotles raises €11.5M to grow AI-powered public sector sales platform

London-based Stotles, a platform helping companies sell more effectively into the public sector, has raised €11.5M in Series A funding to fuel US expansion and enhance its AI-driven software. The round was led by Headline and Acton, with support from Form Ventures and Seedcamp.

Stotles centralises public sector sales—from strategy to bidding—into one tool. The platform leverages AI to surface real opportunities, assess contract fit, and even draft bid responses. (Read more)

Volteras raises $11.1M Series A to power EV data infrastructure

Volteras, a data platform connecting automakers, energy providers, and mobility platforms, has closed an oversubscribed $11.1M in a Series A round led by Union Square Ventures. Volteras partners directly with over 30 OEMs, including Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, to stream real-time vehicle data. The platform helps fleets and energy providers build next-gen EV and mobility apps through official, secure data channels. The funding will accelerate product development and scale OEM-authorized integration globally. (Read more)

UK’s Applied Computing raises €10.6M

Applied Computing, a UK-based startup enhancing industrial plant efficiency with AI, has raised £9M in seed funding led by Stride.VC, with participation from Repeat.VC. The company’s flagship product Orbital analyses real-time industrial data alongside manuals, diagrams, and historical records to suggest operational improvements. Already deployed at three sites in India, the software targets oil, gas, and petrochemical plants but is adaptable across all chemical process industries. Applied Computing plans to expand into the U.S., EU, and Middle East, with a Series A round expected later this year. (Read more)

Hormona raises €7.8M to launch AI-powered at-home hormone testing

London-based women’s health startup Hormona has secured €7.8M in seed funding to launch its at-home hormone tests and scale its AI-driven health platform. Hormona offers personalised hormone tracking and guidance to help women manage imbalances and symptoms. With input from endocrinologists and gynecologists, the platform aims to replace trial-and-error with real-time, science-backed insights, bringing long-overdue innovation to women’s hormonal health. Brainreader raises $7.3M to scale AI brain diagnostics platform Neuroreader

Copenhagen-based medtech company Brainreader A/S has raised €6.6M in fresh funding to accelerate the global rollout of its AI-powered brain imaging software, Neuroreader. Neuroreader, both CE-marked and FDA-cleared, enables automated volumetric analysis of brain MRIs to support early diagnosis and monitoring of conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and traumatic brain injury. Alrik raises €7M to fix construction logistics with smart software

Swedish startup Alrik has secured €7M in funding to expand its AI-powered logistics platform for the construction industry. The round was led by People Ventures, with follow-on support from Pi Labs. Its platform automates dispatch, transport sourcing, invoicing, and emissions tracking—connecting thousands of carriers to over 100,000 active construction sites. (Read more)

Hemerion raises €6.5M to advance clinical development of brain cancer treatment

French medtech startup Hemerion has closed a €6.5M Series A funding round to accelerate the clinical development of its innovative brain cancer therapy. Hemerion’s platform aims to improve outcomes in brain tumor surgeries through precision medical devices. (Read more)

Stockholm’s Endra AI bags €3M to speed up MEP design with AI

Endra AI, a startup building an AI-powered platform for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering, has raised €3M in pre-seed funding led by Norrsken VC. Endra’s vertical SaaS solution automates documentation, system layout, and code checks—streamlining work for MEP engineers. The platform integrates with existing tools and is already drawing interest from large global firms. (Read more)

NavLive launches with £4M to simplify site scanning using AI and LiDAR

NavLive, a University of Oxford spinout specializing in real-time site scanning, has officially launched with £4M in combined seed funding and grants. The startup secured £3.3M in investment led by OSE, alongside Innovate UK’s £700,000 grant. NavLive’s handheld tool uses edge AI and LiDAR to instantly capture 2D and 3D building data on-site, feeding directly into BIM workflows. Designed for architects, engineers, and construction pros, it enables RICS-grade 1:100 surveys without the need for third-party scans. (Read more)

Alba Health raises $2.5M to tackle child gut health with AI and personalised care

Alba Health, a digital health startup focused on children’s gut wellbeing, has raised $2.5M in seed funding led by Unconventional Ventures, joined by Exceptional Ventures, Voima Ventures, and Oura co-founder Petteri Lahtela. Alba offers AI-powered microbiome testing and personalized nutrition plans for children aged 0–12. Available across Europe and the UK, the platform is growing 30% month-on-month and gaining global attention.

Assisterr raises €2.4M to let anyone build and profit from AI agents

Assisterr, a Solana-native platform making AI agent creation accessible without coding, has secured €2.4M in funding, valuing the startup at €66 million. Backers include Google for Startups, Outlier Ventures, Web3.com, and Moonhill Capital. The company focuses on Small Language Models (SLMs), lighter, task-specific alternatives to LLMs, enabling users to build, deploy, and monetise custom AI agents with ease. (Read more)

Gazelle Wind Power secures €2M to advance floating wind pilot

Gazelle Wind Power, a developer of next-gen floating offshore wind platforms, has received €2M in new investment from Banco Português de Fomento, Portugal’s sovereign bank. The deal, made through the Deal-by-Deal Co-investment Programme, brings total funding for Gazelle’s ‘Nau Azul’ pilot project to €18.8M. Gazelle aims to make deep-water wind energy more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly. Its modular, stable floating platforms are designed for easy transport and reduced marine impact. RNatives raises €1.4M to expand RNA-based gene regulation platform

Finnish biotech company RNatives, Inc. has secured €1.4M in new funding, bringing its total seed round to €2.8M. The latest raise was led by Nordic Science Investments, with participation from Force10 and Business Finland. RNatives is developing precision RNA therapies using its proprietary RNAIntel platform, which maps small non-coding RNAs that directly target gene promoters to regulate expression. The company is advancing treatments for ocular, CNS, metabolic diseases, and cancer, aiming to bring new targeted options to patients through RNA-based innovation.

Husk raises €1M to help startups manage spending and cash flow

Belgian fintech startup Husk has raised €1M in pre-seed funding to support fast-growing tech companies in managing costs and improving financial control. The round saw participation from Techstars, Birdhouse Ventures, NewSchool.vc, and several business angels. Husk offers instant access to corporate cards with flexible credit limits, tailored card programs, and real-time financial monitoring, all integrated with existing bank accounts. Backed by Stripe and Mastercard, the platform gives young startups tools to optimize spending, gain financial insights, and stay cash-flow efficient, even without long credit histories.

Amsterdam’s CrowdBuilding secures funding to scale community-led housing platform

CrowdBuilding, a platform helping groups co-create their own housing, has secured new investment from DOEN Participaties B.V. and the Fair Capital Impact Fund. The funding backs CrowdBuilding’s vision to enable 100,000 community-led homes by 2035 across the Netherlands. With 150+ active housing groups and over 1,000 new members joining monthly, the platform aims to make housing more sustainable, affordable, and social by giving people the tools to build homes collectively. Main Capital takes majority stake in Norway’s Documaster

Dutch software investor Main Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Documaster, a Norwegian cloud-native provider of document management and e-archiving solutions. The partnership aims to support Documaster’s international expansion and boost its position in the public and regulated private sectors. Documaster simplifies how organizations manage, store, and retrieve critical documents. With Main’s backing, the company will pursue a buy-and-build strategy to scale its platform and solidify its role as a key player in Europe’s digital infrastructure landscape. (Read more)
