Breda, Netherlands-based Loyyo, a company specialised in payment-linked loyalty solutions, announced that it has raised undisclosed additional growth capital from existing investors.
The latest funding brings the Dutch company’s total investment to over €1M.
The Dutch startup will use the funds to further develop its product offerings, expand internationally, and strengthen its organisational framework.
Besides funding, the Dutch startup also announced a leadership change.
Paul Arts, who joined the management team over a year ago as Chief Commercial Officer, has been appointed CEO as of January 1, 2025.
Founder Wouter Meeuwisse will take on the role of Chief Product Officer, focusing entirely on product innovation and building international partnerships with leading Payment Service Providers (PSPs), POS systems, and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
Birth of Loyyo
In 2012, Wouter founded Stampwallet, a customer loyalty app developed from the insight that retailers were overly focused on gaining new social media likes while neglecting their loyal customers.
He wanted to shift this focus by rewarding existing customers for registering, visiting, or making purchases.
Through his marketing company, he launched Stampwallet to help businesses appreciate their loyal clients while attracting new ones.
Within a few months, over 250 renowned brands, including Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Hilton, adopted the app.
This swift growth generated valuable data on loyalty members’ stamp collection, spending habits, and customer longevity.
Loyyo: Improving customer loyalty
Founded in 2019, Loyyo focuses on improving customer loyalty and data engagement for retailers.
Their software connects transaction data with customer profiles, offering insights into Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and purchasing behaviours.
By integrating with payment systems and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay, Loyyo enables businesses to reward customers without relying on traditional loyalty cards or apps.
This integration helps businesses enhance marketing strategies and increase revenue based on transactional data.
Loyyo has partnered with several brands, including Pets Place, Nikkie, Lagardère, and Zeeman, providing tools like wallet passes, cashier apps, and data dashboards to support retailers in building strong customer connections.
