Arnoud Haverlag, the CEO of BYBORRE, a textile innovation company, on Thursday, announced his decision to step down from his post, effective July 31st, through a LinkedIn post.
In his post, Haverlag reminisces about his eight-year tenure with the company and calls it “an incredible adventure and an unforgettable journey.”
“I take pride in our humble contribution we have made so far to shifting the consciousness and mindset within the textile industry. However, there is still much work to be done, and it will require the continuous effort of challenging brands, designers, suppliers, consumers, and, equally important, ourselves,” he says.
He further adds, “Throughout our journey, we have faced countless challenges and obstacles in our pursuit of real change. It is undeniable that at times this rollercoaster ride, while simultaneously raising a family with three young kids, has had its impact on my personal well-being and that of my family, mentally and physically.”
