AI Tool of the Week: 3 Dutch startups join forces to build this AI platform to combat ChatGPT chaos in the workplace

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere! It has become an integral part of the workplace.

However, most of the companies lack clear oversight and policies.

Recent research shows that 73 per cent of employees already use AI (like ChatGPT) without permission.

At the same time, 40 per cent of organisations have no clear approach or are delaying AI implementation out of fear.

“AI is already here – whether you’re ready or not,” says Radboud Langenhorst, co-founder of AI Opener. “Many companies are stuck in grand plans or even apathy, while their employees are already using unmonitored tools daily. We offer a solution that works fast, is secure, and integrates easily with existing systems.”

Secure AI platform for commercial teams

To address these concerns, three Dutch companies — AI Opener, Artific and AI Ready have announced a collaboration to develop a single secure and intelligent AI platform for commercial teams.

The collaboration also gains financial momentum: AI Ready is acquiring a 25 per cent stake in AI Opener, which launched last year.

AI Ready is the investment group behind companies like Artific, Swipework AI, Teammaite, and DonnaJames.

Recently, Wadinko, an investment firm, became a shareholder in AI Ready.

Their investment in AI Opener aims to create a strong local option in the growing AI market.

Artific provides the AI engine for AI Opener, which is secure, scalable, and works with existing

systems, focusing on delivering real results.

What makes this AI tool different?

The platform offers full-service AI support, with ready-made or tailor-made AI solutions, also known as agents.

These are digital colleagues that assist commercial teams with content creation, customer contact, sales, and reporting.

Built with Dutch technology, fully GDPR-compliant, integrated with systems like CRM and ERP, and enriched with the domain expertise of AI Opener.

The infrastructure is provided by Artific and runs entirely on Dutch servers.

Organisations maintain control over their data while still gaining access to powerful models such as ChatGPT or Claude, without compromising security or oversight.

“What once seemed futuristic is happening now. AI colleagues are no longer a gimmick,” says Ferran Rohaan, founder of Artific and AI Ready. “But most companies still lack the infrastructure or policies and are therefore hesitant to unlock their data. With this platform, we show that it can be done safely, clearly, and with a human-centric approach.”

AI Opener: Implementing AI in a safer way

AI Opener was founded by Radboud Langenhorst (formerly Delivery Hero, FSG Berlin), Quincy James (formerly Woedend! and Blast Radius), and Thierry de Vries (formerly Bammboo, Heppee).

They worked for major brands and witnessed firsthand how fragmented and unsafe AI usage often is.

AI OpenerAIO helps companies like Hanos, de Jong Intra Vakanties, and Equans implement AI in a safe and organized way.

They are also a co-founder of AI AM, an AI hub in Amsterdam where 14 AI-focused businesses work together in the famous INIT building.

“The gap between rapid AI developments and the slow adoption by companies is bigger than ever,” says Pablo van den Berg, founder of Trojan Monkeys, co-founder of AI AM, and investor in AI Opener. “That’s exactly why there’s a need for a reliable Dutch partner and one central platform for all commercial AI applications.”
