Is Costco Closed on the 4th of July 2025?
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

Hosting a barbecue or block party is one of the most popular ways to celebrate the 4th of July. If you’re throwing a big Independence Day bash this year, Costco is one of the best places to shop for ingredients. The warehouse chain sells barbecue essentials like burgers, buns, and ketchup in bulk at reasonable prices, allowing you to feed a crowd on a budget.

However, Costco is known to close its doors on most major holidays. So you may be wondering, is Costco closed on the 4th of July? Here’s what you need to know about the store’s holiday hours so you can plan your shopping trip.

Is Costco Closed On The 4th of July?

Unfortunately, Costco will be closed on the 4th of July. The warehouse chain usually shuts its doors on Independence Day, so you’ll have to pick up your party supplies before the holiday or shop at a different store. It’s important to note that Costco Business Center is usually closed on Independence Day as well.

Luckily, plenty of supermarkets will be open on the 4th of July, so you’ll be able to grab any last-minute ingredients you need for your barbecue. Kroger, Publix, Target, Walmart, and Aldi all stay open on the holiday.

Costco Holiday Hours

Is Costco closed on the 4th of July? Sadly, yes, and it’s not the only holiday Costco observes. The popular retailer usually closes on seven major holidays throughout the year, including:

Fourth of JulyLabor DayThanksgiving DayChristmas DayNew Year’s DayEaster SundayMemorial Day

Costco Business Center also follows the same holiday schedule as the warehouse stores.

Although you can shop online at Costco.com 24/7, you won’t be able to visit your local Costco on these seven holidays. So, make sure you plan accordingly and pick up all the supplies you need for your celebrations in advance.

Costco Regular Business Hours

Regular business hours may vary depending on which Costco location you visit. However, the warehouse stores usually keep a schedule similar to the one below:

Monday through Friday – 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.Saturday – 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Sunday – 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Costco Business Centers typically observe the same holidays as the warehouse stores, but they have slightly different regular operating hours:

Monday through Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Saturday – 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Sunday – Closed

As always, it’s a good idea to call your local warehouse or Business Center to confirm its hours. Or you can use the Find a Warehouse tool to view operating hours and holiday closures for Costco stores in your area.

Does Costco Have a 4th of July Sale?

Many retailers offer discounts in honor of the 4th of July, so you may be wondering if Costco is holding a holiday sale of its own. Costco usually doesn’t have a dedicated Independence Day sale. However, the warehouse chain puts out a new sales flyer full of members-only deals every month.

Based on last year’s ad, you should be able to score deals on summer essentials like patio furniture, refreshing beverages, frozen treats, burgers for grilling, and more.

Do you have any plans for the 4th of July? Let us know in the comments!
