The FlexJobs Work and PTO Pressure Report found that nearly one-quarter (23%) of U.S. workers didn’t take a single vacation day over the past year. The survey of 3,063 respondents, conducted in August 2025, found that even though most employees (82%) have paid time off (PTO), many avoid using it due to heavy workloads, manager expectations, and unsupportive company cultures.
