These Under- Stocks Are Up 100%+ This Quarter – And Some Still Have Room to Run

With the S&P 500 hovering near all-time highs, it’s not easy to find high-potential stocks that fit every pocket. Yet, history shows time and again that this is often where the most impressive long-term growth stories begin.

The greatest example is none other than , worth $7.50 per share when Warren Buffett began buying it in December 1962. More than 5 million % gains later, and the company’s Class A stock now trades at a modest $736,469 a share as of this writing.

But while Berkshire Hathaway might be a one-in-a-million type case, the good news is you don’t need to find the next Berkshire Hathaway to outperform.

In fact, many of the expensive names of today’s market once traded for under $10 a share—take , , , (all split-adjusted), just to name a few.

Investing.com’s predesigned Stocks Under $10 screener provides a powerful way of spotting such names NOW—even as the market hits astronomical levels.

This search identifies stocks that meet the following criteria:

Last price below $10
One-week variation greater than +25%
Market capitalization greater than $50 million

More precisely, here’s what it looks like in terms of screener parameters:

Screener Filters

This combination of criteria currently identifies a group of 60 stocks that have collectively gained over 100% in the last three months.

Below are the 10 top-performing stocks on this list over the past week, starting with , up 12,400% during that period.

List of 10 Top-Performing Stocks

How to access the “Under $10/Share” screen?

To access the screener, go to the Investing.com home page and click on “Advanced Stock Search” in the black menu at the top of the page.

Investing.com Home Page

The Investing.com screener offers over 20 predefined screens. These screens can be used as they are, but can also be customized and modified as required.

Beginners can get their feet wet, while experts can use these predefined screens as a time-saving basis.

These predefined screens can be accessed by clicking on the “Explore more than 20 filters” button at the top of the screener.

Explore Predefined Screens

You will then find the predefined screen “Under $10/Share” under the popular tab.

Note: Some predefined screens are available free of charge, while others are reserved for InvestingPro, Pro+ plan members.

How to spot under-$10 stocks with long-term upside potential

Returning to our search for stocks below $10, we’ve noticed that many of the stocks identified by the “Under $10/Share” screen are currently vastly overvalued, and/or display a risky profile.

If you’re a long-term investor looking for stocks with a lower risk profile, you can adapt this search.

For example, we have refined the search by adding the following parameters:

Upward potential according to Fair Value greater than 20% (to target undervalued stocks)
Increase of at least +25% over one month (instead of one week)
Volume greater than 5 million shares (to target liquid stocks)

With these modifications, the search showed eight stocks:

Final List of Stocks Under $10

These stocks, which have gained from +26.5% to +140.6% over the past month, have a potential of +23.6% to +47.7% according to InvestingPro Fair Value.

Note: While the initial “Under $10/Share” search is available free of charge, the modifications we have made include features reserved for InvestingPro members, Pro+ plan.
