Record Low Border Crossings Under Trump

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proudly announced that illegal crossings have reached a record low of zero. Not a single alien was permitted to enter the US illegally under the Trump administration. This stands as a stark contrast to the 62,000 people who were permitted to invade the nation under Biden-Harris-Auto Pen.

“Under the leadership of this administration, CBP has received historic support, resulting in another 93 percent decrease in illegal crossings along the southwest border this month compared with last year,” Pete Flores, Acting Commissioner of CBP, said. “Border numbers continue to trend at historic lows, reinforcing the sustained success of our enforcement efforts in securing the homeland and protecting American communities.”

CBP encountered 117,905 people attempting to illegally enter the United States last May; this year, only 8,725 were bold enough to attempt entry—a 93% decline. Previous border czar Kamala Harris lightly stated, “Don’t come.” Current border czar Tom Homan does not mince his words. From the start, he has vowed to deport anyone and everyone who disregards national security. The media paints him as a brute but his message has been effective as people around the world know that America is no longer providing free handouts.

This historic feat is confirmation that current border policies are effective. The tap has been turned off, but the US must now empty the basin. Over 200,000 people have been reported since Trump took office, but millions of people still hiding out throughout the nation. The federal government spent $45 billion on new detention facilities and $14 billion on transportation and removal operations. Homan’s aim is to remove 1 million undocumented persons per year. This is a small price to pay in comparison to what the federal government was spending on migrant housing, health care, pre-paid cards, cell phones, and the list goes on. National security and rising crime aside, those fighting to keep trespassers in the US fail to realize how much the American taxpayer has spent on open border policies.

Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 of the Constitution recognizes states’ sovereign power to repel invasions, which some argue provides a constitutional basis for states to take action to secure their borders in the absence of sufficient federal government action. Border states were fighting a losing battle under Biden-Harris-Auto Pen and it will take years for them to recover. No one has been held responsible. Let us not forget that crime peaked to such an extreme that measures like the Laken Riley Act were necessary to prevent leftist judges from rereleasing undocumented offenders into the public. Migrants were permitted to assault law enforcement officers with no repercussion and were not expected to adhere to the law.

Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution defines treason as “levying war” against the United States or “adhering to [the] enemies [of the United States], giving them aid and comfort”, and that is precisely what is happening to our once great nation. The past administration’s actions were clearly treason against the American public.
