• NIKKEI 225 increased 174.60 points or 0.47% to 37,160.47

• Shanghai decreased 31.82 points or -0.94% to 3,348.37

• Hang Seng increased 56.95 points or 0.24% to 23,601.26

• ASX 200 increased 12.20 points or 0.15% to 8,360.90

• SENSEX increased 769.09 points or 0.95% to 81,721.08

• Nifty50 increased 243.45 points or 0.99% to 24,853.15

The major Asian currency markets had a mixed day today:

• AUDUSD increased 0.00863 or 1.35% to 0.64968

• NZDUSD increased 0.00843 or 1.43% to 0.59859

• USDJPY decreased 1.464 or -1.02% to 142.550
