Investors were further encouraged by WM’s higher pricing, steady demand for waste collection and disposal, and efficiency gains from increased automation that reduced labor costs.
Analysts’ consensus view on WM stock is cautiously optimistic, with an overall “Moderate Buy” rating. Among 25 analysts covering the stock, 13 suggest a “Strong Buy,” one gives a “Moderate Buy,” and 11 provide a “Hold” rating. The average analyst price target for Waste Management is $259.68, indicating a potential upside of 18.3% from the current levels.
