The S&P 500 has gained 1.6% through the first five trading days of the month, which would be its best start to a month since November, according to Dow Jones Market Data. It would be the best start to June for the index since 2023.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has moved 1.2% higher and is also on track for its best first-five trading days since November. The Nasdaq Composite has climbed 2.4% higher in that span, but it had a better start to December.
