Teachers can save year-round with exclusive educator discounts offered by top retailers and brands. Whether you’re shopping for classroom supplies, tech, or apparel, these ongoing teacher discounts help stretch your budget every season.

Educator Discounts

Teachers deserve more than just a week of appreciation each year. You pour your time, energy, and heart into shaping the future, and it’s only right that you get some extra savings in return. Fortunately, there are tons of year-round teacher discounts out there to help you save on everything from classroom supplies to tech, clothing, streaming services, and more.

These offers are available to educators throughout the year — some are ongoing, and others happen annually but on a reliable schedule.

Whether you’re a public school teacher, private school educator, or college professor, there’s a good chance you qualify for more savings than you think.

Stores that Offer Teacher Discounts

Apple Discounts

Apple offers special education pricing on products like MacBooks, iPads, and accessories. Teachers, school staff, and even homeschool educators may be eligible. You can shop through Apple’s Education Store and get significant savings, especially if you’re planning a bigger tech purchase.

Bonus tip: Apple often runs back-to-school promotions that include free gift cards or headphones with your purchase, so it’s worth checking for those seasonal offers, too.

Adobe Discounts for Teachers

Teachers can purchase an annual plan for Creative Cloud Pro for $24.99/month for the first year. This package includes programs such as Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Dreamweaver. This is usually $69.99/month so there’s a huge Adobe teacher discount!

Target’s Annual Teacher Prep Event

Each summer, Target runs its popular Teacher Prep Event through the Target Circle app. Verified teachers can score a one-time 20% discount off an entire purchase, which is perfect for stocking up on classroom supplies or even some back-to-school clothes and supplies for your own kids. You’ll need to verify your teacher status through Target’s website or app to access this offer.

Even outside of this event, Target sometimes offers exclusive teacher Circle offers or coupons, so keep your Circle account updated.

Michaels Teacher Discounts

If you’re a craft-loving teacher, Michaels has you covered. They offer 15% off your entire purchase (including sale items!) for teachers who sign up through their Michaels Rewards program. All you have to do is verify your educator status and show your ID at checkout or link your status to your account online. This is perfect for classroom décor, craft projects, and even fun seasonal activities for kids.

Barnes and Noble Educator Discount

You may remember the days when Barnes & Noble offered a generous Educator Discount Program that included 20% off books, games, and educational resources just by showing proof of educator status. Unfortunately, that program officially ended in April 2023.

While you can no longer simply walk into Barnes & Noble and use an educator discount at the checkout, there are still some ways to save if you’re buying in larger quantities. Barnes & Noble has shifted their discounts over to institutional and bulk purchasing programs, which means teachers ordering curriculum and resources in bulk can still take advantage of deals. They now offer something called &Classwork and also have an Institutional Discount Program that’s designed for classroom and group orders.

Nike & Adidas Teacher Discounts

Need new shoes or activewear? Both Nike and Adidas offer 10-30% discounts for educators. To access these savings, you’ll need to verify your teacher status through a third-party site like SheerID during checkout. These deals usually apply online and sometimes in stores, depending on the location.

Under Armour Educator Discount

Teachers and educators can receive 20% off all purchases while shopping at UnderArmour.com or in the UA App, and will receive a 10% discount at UA Factory House. Just choose “Military and First Responder Discount” at checkout and you’ll have the chance to verify your educator status with ID.me.

J. Crew Teacher Discount

J. Crew’s teacher discount offers 15% off your purchase with a valid ID both in stores and online. You can use this up to 4 times per month, but it is not valid at Factory stores.

Lululemon Sweat Collective

If you’re a PE teacher, coach, or fitness instructor, you might qualify for the Lululemon Sweat Collective program. This gives educators in certain fields 25% off purchases, both in-store and online. It’s not open to all teachers, but if you lead any kind of movement or athletic-based programming, it’s worth checking your eligibility.

Crocs Teacher Discount

Crocs offers teachers 15% off full-priced styles. You’ll just need to verify your educator status through ID.me in your cart.

On the left, a close-up of a smartphone screen displays the ID.me login and form fields. On the right, a woman with wavy brown hair sits at a desk with a laptop, holding her phone and filling out the same ID.me form.

Office Depot & OfficeMax Teacher Discounts

Office Depot and OfficeMax offer teacher-exclusive savings and rewards through their Star Teacher Program. Members receive special pricing on select items and earn rewards for purchases made for the classroom. You can sign up for free, verify your eligibility with ID.me, and start saving on things like paper, printer ink, school supplies, and more.

Teacher Discounts at Mattress Firm

Teachers, faculty, and staff of K-12 schools and degree-granting colleges/universities can receive an extra 10-20% off a single purchase every 90 days through Mattress Firm’s educator discount. At checkout, click “Verify with ID.me” to validate your status and receive this discount.

GM Teacher Discounts

Current employees of a public school, private school, college or university (or their sponsored spouse) can receive a special offer on the purchase or lease of eligible, new Chevrolet EVs and Cadillac gas and electric vehicles. You can use this on up to 2 eligible vehicles each year and you can also usually stack this discount with other GM offers!

Best Buy Teacher Discounts

There is no overall discount for teachers at Best Buy, but teachers can receive special pricing on select computers, tablets, and other electronics for the classroom. You may also be able to apply for tax exempt status for eligible purchases at Best Buy if your school or organization qualifies.

Peacock streaming logo

Streaming & Media Discounts for Teachers

Some streaming services like Peacock and Paramount+ occasionally run educator discounts, especially around back-to-school season. While these aren’t always available year-round, it’s worth checking their websites for current offers. Also, some educational tools and platforms like BrainPOP or Ancestry.com offer ongoing educator pricing and classroom packages.

Tech & Phone Carrier Discounts

Companies like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile offer educator pricing on monthly phone plans and device upgrades. Each provider has different requirements for verification, so be prepared to upload proof of employment or educator credentials. These savings can add up over the course of a year, especially for family plans.

JCPenney, Tarte, and Other Brands That Show Teacher Love

You might be surprised at how many retailers offer a teacher discount at checkout. You just have to ask. Brands like JCPenney and Tarte Cosmetics run educator promotions from time to time. While not always advertised, these discounts are often available both in-store and online when you verify through SheerID or ID.me.

Beyond Teacher Discounts: Earn Extra With Cash Back & Rewards!

Beyond direct discounts, using rewards and cash-back tools can add a meaningful “income” stream:

Rakuten, Ibotta, TopCashback, Swagbucks: Earn cash back or gift cards on shopping you’re already doing. Browse deals through these apps before checkout.

Receipt-Scanning Apps: Scan your grocery receipts into apps like Fetch Rewards or Receipt Hog — small savings accumulate over time.

Loyalty Programs: Register for free loyalty cards at grocery stores, coffee shops, or restaurants. Many offer birthday freebies and bonus-point promotions.

Combining these with teacher discounts means double-dipping on savings!

A Small Way to Say Thank You!

At the end of the day, these teacher discounts are just a small way for companies to say “thank you” for the incredible work you do. Whether you’re buying classroom supplies, upgrading your tech, or treating yourself to new shoes, don’t miss out on these savings.

Your job is challenging enough. Let these discounts help lighten the load just a bit.

More Great Savings for Teachers

Do educators get free Amazon Prime?

No, Amazon doesn’t offer free Prime for educators. While there’s no direct teacher discount on Amazon Prime, educators can still benefit from perks like tax-exempt purchasing and free shipping when using Amazon Business for Education or Prime for Teachers, though both require account enrollment and verification.

How can I get 20% off for teachers at Target?

Target offers a 20% one-time storewide discount through its Teacher Prep Event, typically held each summer (e.g., July 20–August 30 in 2025) We Are Teachers. Here’s how to score it:

Sign up for Target Circle (it’s free).

Verify your teacher status by uploading a teacher ID, pay stub, or homeschool documentation.

Activate the offer in the Target Circle “Offers” section—look for the “20% Teacher Exclusive” and click Save Offer.

Then, enjoy 20% off one qualifying purchase (online or in-store) during the Prep Event timeframe

While that’s not a direct price cut, the digital gift card and Executive perks can add value for educators who shop frequently at Costco.

Do teachers get free Chick-fil-A?

What phone companies give teachers discounts?

AT&T: Teachers and families can receive 25% off on select unlimited wireless plans.

T-Mobile: Education plans through school districts, offering unlimited talk, text, data, and mobile hotspot are available from about $35/month. Availability depends on school district arrangements with T-Mobile. They also offer a 15% discount on general phone services .
