Keystone Education Group has announced the launch of Beyond Abroad, a newly formed study abroad agency consisting of three well-established, European international education organisations – Blueberry, Asia Exchange, and SONOR.
The education agencies already operate under the Keystone brand but the move will see them come together in “shared commitment to cultural openness and impact-driven education”.
By consolidating their operations, Beyond Abroad said in a statement that the unified brands will “bring together decades of expertise, a vast partner network, and a strong local presence under one cohesive, global team”.
“We are combining 75 years of experience helping students study abroad, aiming to create the largest study abroad brand. The Beyond Abroad team is made up of former exchange students ourselves, so we know first-hand how impactful and life-changing these experiences can be,” said Joonas Salo, managing director of Asia Exchange.
In 2024 alone, Blueberry, SONOR and Asia Exchange helped students from 48 countries on their international education journey.
“Having worked with partners through Blueberry and SONOR, I know how important it is to combine local expertise with global ambition. Beyond Abroad gives institutions the best of both: access to new student audiences worldwide, while working with a team that understands the student journey in each market,” said Steven Engström Kjellén, VP of agencies at Keystone.
For university partners, the launch offers a centralised gateway to student mobility, while giving students access to 80+ universities across four continents – sending over 2,200 students to study abroad at their institutions every year.
We want to continue to expand our impact and serve more students and institutional partners while reinforcing our leadership in enrolment generation on a global scaleFredrik Högemark, Keystone
“Beyond Abroad marks a new chapter for Keystone as a global brand,” said Fredrik Högemark, CEO of Keystone Education Group. “We want to continue to expand our impact and serve more students and institutional partners while reinforcing our leadership in enrolment generation on a global scale.”
“When institutions partner with Beyond Abroad, they gain more than efficiency – they join a global education community,” added Salo. “We’re making international collaboration simpler, smarter, and more impactful, empowering institutions to reach a bigger student audience than ever before.”
