Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the added 1.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Melisron (TASE:), which rose 1.95% or 530.00 points to trade at 27,710.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) added 1.77% or 32.00 points to end at 1,840.00 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:) was up 1.59% or 17.00 points to 1,087.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:), which rose 0.04% or 1.00 points to trade at 2,367.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:) added 0.22% or 5.00 points to end at 2,308.00 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:) was up 0.26% or 60.00 points to 23,480.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 273 to 201 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Melisron (TASE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.95% or 530.00 to 27,710.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.54% or 0.40 to $73.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.26% or 0.21 to hit $78.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 13.20 to trade at $2,064.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.61, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 101.36.
