General Mills has recalled more than 730,000 Pillsbury rolls sold to Walmart because they may contain pieces of glass.

The voluntary recall, posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s site July 13, reports that General Mills on June 19 began the recall of 3,800 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Hard Roll Dough and 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Kaiser Roll Dough. The rolls may contain “potential foreign material (glass),” the notice read.

The dough – sold to Walmart, which makes the rolls to sell in its bakeries – was recalled from 19 states where it was distributed. Any baked rolls were removed from bakery shelves, according to General Mills.

“Out of an abundance of caution, in mid-June, we issued a voluntary recall of two frozen dough products baked onsite and sold exclusively at Walmart in-store bakeries in the United States,” General Mills said in a statement to Fox Business News and other news outlets. “This voluntary recall is limited in scope, highly contained and all potential impacted product has been removed.”

General Mills did not immediately respond to a request for comment from USA TODAY.

The FDA classified the General Mills-Pillsbury voluntary recall as a Class II recall, which means consuming the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences” or where the “probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

Which Products Were Recalled

Recalled were:

3,080 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls Hard Roll Dough, each with 180 units – or 554,000 rolls (best if used by Oct. 12, 2026; recall number H-1154-2026).
1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls, Kaiser Roll Dough, each with 114 units – or 181,440 rolls (best if used by Oct. 12, 2026; H-1155-2026).
