Market participants have significantly adjusted their expectations for the Federal Reserve’s July policy decision after Wednesday’s release of softer-than-anticipated inflation data.

The consumer price index rose 3.5% year-over-year in June, below economists’ consensus forecast of 3.8% and down from a 4.2% reading in May, signaling continued
