In major crypto news today, XRP, Near Protocol, and Solana are witnessing massive buying from retail and institutional investors. Institutions are rotating out of Bitcoin and Ethereum into altcoin-focused crypto funds, as evident from recent analyst predictions and spot ETF inflows.
Crypto Funds Record $1.47 Billion in Outflows
Crypto funds globally saw outflows of $1.47 billion, a second consecutive negative week, CoinShares reported on May 26. Also, this marks the third-largest weekly outflow of 2026, following two outflows of $1.7 billion in late January.
Cumulative outflows over the past two weeks now stand at $2.54 billion despite the CLARITY Act progress. Bitcoin saw $1.315 billion in outflows, the largest weekly outflow of 2026.
Meanwhile, Ethereum saw $222 inmillion in outflows, broadly in line with last week. Continuous outflows from Bitcoin and Ethereum signal that macro and US-Iran war-related risk-off has deepened and broadened.
Altcoins continued to attract selective inflows but on a smaller scale than the prior week. XRP leads with $31.8 million in inflows. NEAR crypto and Solana followed with $9 million and $7.7. million, respectively. Also, Sui and multi-asset funds recorded significant inflows.

Notably, nine crypto asset funds, including XRP, recorded inflows of more than $1 million. This signals institutions rotating to XRP, NEAR Protocol and Solana.
XRP, NEAR Crypto, and Solana Price Action amid Positive Sentiment
XRP, NEAR, and Solana open interests are rising in the derivatives markets, while Bitcoin and Ethereum record low-volume trades. The US continued to dominate outflows, accounting for $1.425 billion. Crypto funds in Switzerland, Canada, and Hong Kong also recorded a risk-off sentiment.
