The agreement marks the first partnership of its kind for a Latin American brand with Spinnova and enables Insider to integrate lower-impact materials into upcoming collections.

The move aligns with broader industry efforts to reduce reliance on conventional cotton and synthetic fibres derived from fossil fuels.

Over recent years, global fashion companies have expanded the use of next-generation cellulosic fibres and technological fabrics, responding to both consumer and corporate demand for products that offer performance while addressing environmental concerns.

Insider, which was founded in São Paulo, specialises in apparel that incorporates sweat absorption, anti-odour properties, and thermal regulation. Its products utilise proprietary technologies and materials such as modal, lyocell, and polyamide.

The new LoI provides Insider with a pathway to introduce Spinnova fibre into future product lines.

Insider co-founder Yuri Gricheno said: “Our garments are technological and designed to meet our customers’ needs – featuring quick-drying performance, sweat absorption, and temperature regulation – all with the lowest possible environmental impact. Being the first brand in Latin America to sign this agreement with Spinnova shows how committed we are to leading sustainable textile innovation. This partnership strengthens our mission to keep advancing materials and bring new sustainable solutions to everyday techwear.”

The agreement also supports Spinnova’s goal of developing an ecosystem among textile companies, improving the availability of its fibre to the textile material market.

Spinnova fibre is produced from renewable raw materials and can be incorporated into both innovative and traditional textile manufacturing processes, including those typically applied to cotton.

The fibre is suitable for use in a range of applications comparable to cotton, such as trousers, denim, overshirts, jackets, T-shirts, and accessories. It can also be utilised in insulation and composite products.

Spinnova senior commercial manager Pedro Brito said: “We’re pleased to partner with Insider; a brand that’s redefining fashion by combining style with responsibility. This collaboration opens new opportunities for us to bring Spinnova fibres into functional and technological clothing, supporting our shared vision for a more sustainable textile industry and delivering innovative solutions to consumers.”

Recently, Spinnova entered into a non-binding LoI with Tearfil Textile Yarns, a Portuguese yarn spinning company, to ensure access to SPINNOVA fibre volumes.

“Brazil’s Insider secures future supply of Spinnova fibre” was originally created and published by Just Style, a GlobalData owned brand.
