The question of George Soros’s funding of opposition to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi involves several serious issues. Soros, through his Open Society Foundations (OSF), supports global initiatives promoting his version of democracy, human rights, and transparency.  Soros has certainly publicly criticized Modi’s government, particularly on issues like democratic erosion, minority rights, and press freedom. For instance, in a 2023 speech, Soros suggested Modi’s stance on Adani Group controversies might weaken his leadership.

Soros’s Open Society Foundations has funded Indian NGOs and civil society groups focused on social justice, education, and governance. These groups may critique government policies, but Indian law (FCRA) restricts foreign donations for explicitly political activities. There is no verified evidence of OSF directly funding these Indian political parties, which is illegal under Indian law.

Modi’s administration and allies have accused Soros of meddling in India’s sovereignty, framing his critique as foreign interference. Such claims often arise in political rhetoric but lack substantiated proof of direct financial support to opposition parties. While Soros-funded entities may support causes critical of Modi’s policies, there is no credible evidence of direct financial support to political opposition groups at this time – his cleverness would be indirect at best.

As India’s Parliament convened for its winter session in late November, the world’s largest democracy braced for heated exchanges between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition, led by the Congress party. There has been more than a year of ethnic clashes that critics have accused the local BJP government of exacerbating. Since early 2023, Soros has emerged as a central target, accused of sponsoring the country’s opposition and backing other Modi critics with the intent of destabilising India. Those accusations intensified ahead of the 2024 parliamentary elections, in which the Hindu-majority BJP lost its majority for the first time in a decade. However, it still secured enough seats to cobble together a coalition government.

The BJP has even accused the US Department of State of colluding with Soros to undermine Modi, who did join BRICS and has supported Russia. They have used the work of a group of investigative journalists — funded in part by Soros’s foundation and the State Department — to target the Modi government on questions related to the economy, security, and democracy.

The BJP cited an article by French media outlet Mediapart that claimed that Soros’s Open Society Foundations and the State Department funded the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Then, it drew attention to the OCCRP’s exposes on the alleged use of Pegasus spyware by the Modi government, investigations into the Adani group’s activity, and reports on declining religious freedom in India to suggest that Soros and the Biden administration were in effect behind this coverage. This was perhaps part of the Neocon agenda led by Blinken, who has been attacking any government that supported Russia. He even covertly intervened in the Romanian elections to prevent an anti-EU candidate from winning who would have stopped the construction of NATO’s largest airbase in Europe, to be staged in Romania, to easily attack Russia.

Deep State 1

A BJP spokesperson said at a news conference:

“The deep state had a clear objective to destabilise India by targeting Prime Minister Modi … it has always been the US State Department behind this agenda [and] OCCRP has served as a media tool for carrying out a deep state agenda”.

The comments targeting the State Department took many analysts by surprise, but what has surfaced is that George Soros’ organisations received $260 million from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to create regime changes by influencing political affairs with the purpose of destabilizing multiple nations, including India and Bangladesh. Trump himself has posted on X, stating: “George Soros received $260,000,000.00 from USAID and used this money to spread chaos, change governments, and personal gain in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, India, UK, and the US.”

Trump’s administration has frozen USAID’s budget, and the Neocons have used that agency to fund their projects, sidestepping Congress, all without formal approval from the US government. They have been a rogue element within the government, and many see that there is such a thing as the Deep State.

Gary Underwood

Trump’s administration has exposed that these rogue Neocons, who have even assassinated former President John F. Kennedy, as revealed in recent declassified documents, insist on how the “deep state” conspires to undermine democracy for their personal agendas. They label anything that would expose them as a conspiracy theory, which has been their chief means to protect their clandestine rogue operations..

In January 2023, US-based forensic financial research firm Hindenburg alleged in a report that the Adani Group, founded by Gautam Adani in 1988 as a commodity trading business, had been engaged in a “brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.” After the report’s release, Adani Group’s shares plunged in value by about $112 billion, before recovering over the subsequent days. The firm has since followed up with more research and analysis on the conglomerate’s business practices.

The Adani conglomerate has denied the allegations. Hindenburg, in turn, received a show-cause notice from the Indian capital market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), accusing the group of using non-public information to build short positions against the Adani Group. Opposition then alleged that Modi’s policies were tailor-made to favour the Adani Group. They used photos of Modi taking off in an Adani Group jet for campaigning ahead of the 2014 national election.

Soros 2023 Munich Security Conference

In February 2023, George Soros jumped into the Indian political controversy concerning Adani. He spoke at the Munich Security Conference as if he were some political head of state and declared that the Adani crisis “will significantly weaken” Modi’s “stranglehold” on the Indian government. This was seen as Soros intending to interfere in Indian politics. India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar described the billionaire as “an old, rich, opinionated … dangerous person.”

Soros is getting money from USAID, and aligning with the various destabilizations of countries that the Neocons are also against is a very strange coincidence, to say the least. Then, the US DOJ under the Biden Administration indicted Adani, over allegations of bribery in India, in November 2024, just after Biden lost the election. The group has denied the allegations. Like Biden pardoning his family and suddenly authorizing long-range missiles for Ukraine after he lost the election, makes all of these decisions a Neocon wish-list, as they were about to be thrown out the door by Trump.

This was obviously a direct attack against Modi’s party by the Neocons. Why would the DOJ be concerned if Adani paid bribes in his home country to Modi’s party? This appears to have been instigated for the same regime change agenda in India, all because Modi joined BRICS and supported Russia, even buying their energy.

India does buy oil from Russia, and Russia is a significant supplier of oil to India. Following the Ukraine war, India increased its oil imports from Russia, with Russia becoming India’s top oil supplier by volume. In 2023, Russia supplied around 40% of India’s crude oil imports. While India has diversified its sources of oil, including increasing imports from the US, Russia remains a key supplier. This is why the Neocons have been against India, for they were trying to bankrupt Russia by cutting off all energy sales. This has been a totally irresponsible policy as an act of economic war, which has been a fool’s dream.

The BJP has cited alleged funding by Soros of the Forum of Democratic Leaders in the Asia Pacific (FDL-AP), which has Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi’s mother, as co-president, to bolster the appearance that Soros is trying to fund a regime change in India, yet receives money from USAID. This has led to the argument that “Soros is not a citizen of this country, and he wants to create instability in the country,” according to Jagdambika Pal, a member of parliament from the BJP.

2025_04_25_14_12_58_Pakistan_Admits_to_Backing_Terror_Groups_Tensions_Escalate_After_Pahalgam_Terro

The Pakistan Defence Minister has admitted that the country has been funding terrorists for decades at the behest of the US Neocons. This Deep State is truly a rogue operation that is totally out of control. Here, too, we strangely find George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) funding various initiatives and groups in Pakistan. OSF has historically operated in Pakistan, funding civil society organizations through grants and partnerships. Soros collaborates with local NGOs and advocacy groups in Pakistan. Back in 2017, Pakistan did order Soros to get the hell out.

2025_04_25_14_35_52_Biden_admin_agency_quietly_leaned_on_Soros_and_other_billionaire_backed_groups_f

I believe it strangely appears that since $260 million was handed to Soros, the great philanthropist, from US taxpayer money to fund clandestine regime changes that were Neocon objectives. I found myself in that position when I was asked to put $10 billion into Hermitage Capital Management to fund a regime change in Russia. This seems to be a way to circumvent Congress to start wars and remove leaders without having to go to Congress to approve such outrageous actions.
