Zurich-based Scalera, an AI-based tender assistant, announced that it has secured €6.5M in funding within three days.
The round included multiple term sheets and interest from several investment firms. The lead investor finalised terms in just over 48 hours, marking their fastest commitment and largest investment from the fund to date.
Lead investment came from seed investors firstminute capital and Speedinvest. firstminute capital is backed by over 130 unicorn founders, and Speedinvest is an early-stage VC that manages over €1B in assets under management.
The Swiss-based startup is developing an AI-powered tendering system aimed at improving collaboration between builders and suppliers. Notable angel investors include Stem AI Mehdi Ghissassi (DeepMind), Cal Henderson (Slack), and PlanRadar’s Sander van de Rijdt and Ibrahim Imam.
AI for construction companies
Scalera is a SaaS solution from RA Scale AG, an accredited Swiss ETH spin-off company founded by Leonard Reinhard (CEO), Sven Affeltranger (CCO) and Federico Gossi (CTO).
Scalera offers an AI-based tender assistant designed for the tendering process in medium to large construction companies. The company’s software is modular, covering the pre-selection and coordination phases of the tendering process. Modules can be used individually or together.
Implementation timelines vary depending on company size, configuration, and customer team readiness. Initial functions can be operational within two weeks, while full automation may take up to four months.
Scalera prioritises data protection through end-to-end encryption, the principle of least privilege, regular access reviews, and cloud security monitoring.
The system supports automatic extraction and assignment of material packages, AI-based supplier coordination, automated quotation workflows, and subcontractor suggestions aligned with DACH region standards. It includes a search system for submission documents and an AI co-pilot that assists with project screening, risk analysis, deadline tracking, and legal checks.
